Every line was so potent then...

Although if he slowed and simplified his style to this kind of thing now... it would probably have a similar effect. It's like he's barely even flowing here though, not saying that in a bad way, just odd to hear now.

To this day his phrasing here sounds genius though. Other great rappers have... tricky or cool phrasing with ages, but Em's was never about tricky or just complex... he has an inherent poetic phrasing. It never ages.

So weird to hear him here and think this is the same guy who wrote those Recovery lines doe.
