Stay Wide Awake Verse 2? (Or 3)
Bad Guy Verse 4?

Speaking of Bad Guy (I'm gonna get flamed for this but flame on) does anyone else not particularly care for all the stuff before the change up? I know, it brings up nostalgic feelings about Stan, it's a continuation of the story, etc etc. But 9 times out of 10, I just fast forward to the last verse. I think I would have preferred some sort of skit, like a public service announcement or something, then the beat comes in, then he raps verse 4 as one lone verse for the intro of the album, then it leads into Parking Lot.

I love the hook (best female hook in a Em's track imo) and the beat of the first part, but yeah, sometimes I skip to the third verse (Stan voice part). First two verses are fantastic but kinda boring, but... think about it: Stan is kinda boring too and It's a top 3 Em song imo.

True. But Stan had the originality aspect of it. So it made it fresh. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Bad Guy is a terrible song, I do think that it is a bit drawn out. It's a long (sometimes dull) build up to the epic last verse which to me is arguably one of his best verses period. It was unbelievably self aware and introspective, and it was also lyrical, and the beat behind it gave me goosebumps. I think it's more than capable of standing on its own as a lone verse for an intro.

Maybe it's a PSA 2013 but instead of the regular guy, it's that shady/demon voice he's been using for a while. Something like "this is another public service announcement brought to you by slim shady. Eminem's dead, he's locked in my basement..." Blah blah blah, something about Eminem fell off and decided to call it quits, then the beat comes in and you hear "but you refuse to believe that it's over here we go all over again"

Or something, I don't know lol.

Exactly. First of all, I know this is a stan thing to say but I don't think you can possibly make a top 25 verse and not leaving something incredible off. He has more than 25 amazing verses. Second, they count on their lists being debatable so that people talk about them and show their friends every single time. They feed off of it.

As far as MMLP2 goes, I doubt they put that list together just that day, and even if they did it would seem a little premature to have a song come out yesterday and immediately declare it as a top 25 of his career verse. Even if that's understood later. There isn't enough time to appreciate every little part of it like the rest of the verses on the list.

agreed. plus i think something like this should be labeled as someones opinion and not even a small groups list because its not like he has been out of the game...meaning i could see a list for artists who are dead or retired.

I completely agree....I hate that the album starts off like that...the flow is unnatural, and awkward and the rest of the album is so much better...the change up part is amazing....I don't even understand why people like the song on here so much because of that

i always loved the song and the last verse is amazing. i feel it fits even more because he mentions the symbolism of mathew and stan in that last verse. i like how he starts the album with that track (not that i think it could have fit anywhere else) but overall i think it was a great sequel and something people didnt expect. i do think his last verse was immense and if it was a little longer or its own track somehow it would have been more powerful, but i love it
