Well, I wrote a script in python that downloaded the lyrics, took out stop words and pronouns from the lyric sheet as well as the word "like", then counted unique words and how many times each one came up. Then, still with the script, created and saved the bar graphs with the results. Then divided the total amount of unique words by total number of words to get uniqueness, and created those pie charts/bar charts. The last bar graph (horizontal one) was made in Excel.

well I define a word, or rather a unique word, as something that's not a filler..for example, fillers are underlined in this lyric:

Whats left:

I obviously could not get rid of all the fillers, hence why ya is one of the results for an album, but I managed to take out a lot. The reason I take out stop/filler words is because they really dont mean anything or don't have a definition are just directors, and they are too common.

Interesting observation, but the real question is, how would it look if it didn't include features?
These include the lyrics of other's artists featuring in the song.

I can recreate this study pretty easily, if you guys have any theories or observations you'd like to test out.

I kept the features, because I would have had to manually remove them as there is nothing constant in the lyrics that define who is rapping/singing. That's not an issue, if I thought it would have made a huge difference I would have removed them, but I didn't think it would. I believe features account to less than 5% of an Eminem album, hook/bridge samples probably account for another 5%. Not enough dataset to mess with the overall results, but it would be interesting to see the results per album. So i might do that.
