this tbh

there is a difference. just because you enjoy something doesn't make it one of the greatest works of art in the entire history of recorded music. i'm pretty fond of blink-182, for instance, but i'm not trying to say Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is better than Abbey Road

Agreed, like all my favorite albums in my top 5 consist of Eminem, Linkin Park, and AC/DC. BUT it doesn't mean I am saying those are the best jus cus I enjoy them the most. Those are just my favorites.

a lot of people don't understand this/didn't realise this yet, that's why there's a lot of stupid fights in here

That's the thing though, there aren't any objective means of measuring the quality of music.
At all.
Sure, you could say A was more complex lyrically, and B had more intricate production, but you CANNOT actually objectively claim that MJ's Thriller or Prince's Purple Rain are better than Iggy Azaela's(sp?) The New Classic or Chief Keef's Finally Rich.
Not possible.
Also, about MMLP2 being in top 5 albums OAT, I dunno yet, but I can say that out of all the releases I enjoyed in 2013; R.A.M, Reflektor, Virgins, NWTS, Yeezus... MMLP2 is the only record that still gets regular spins.
And my favorite albums are the ones I usually consider to be the greatest/best.

If we're talking top albums OAT then Em should be much farther down the list tbh
