Eminem's Calm Down verse

So I already thought his verse was pretty dope. Lots of stuff I'm still catching now.

"I stuck out like a sore thumb, so I gave em the finger
To take the attention away from my stinking face it was bringing
Changed the whole complexion of the game"

Not sure why, but I didnt register that whole part initially. I thought that was pretty dope.


Whats the consensus here of the verse a month since its release?

I think the song itself would have been better with a more interesting beat but thats just me. Em killed it though IMO.

But don't you think the hook sounds "cartoonish"? I think that's good because it fits the concept. This track has its own sound which is great. It's unique.

Yeah I actually dont have a problem with the hook. Its really the beat that gets me. The stuff Eminem added in his portion of the song to the beat are good, but the rest of the beat just doesnt work for me.

i hate this beat itruin the complete song for me .
bustas verse was mediocore but ok
ems verse was the whole highlight of the song imo

A better beat cause Em's delivery was a little off in the beginning but his verse was still dope. Busta's verse however has not grown on me at all, I liked it at first but not anymore.

i listened to the track on repeat today, and it got so much better, i just recognized the strings in the background at 4:56 they should have put it in the whole song tho :y:
