I don't think so. But it seems like every rapper or producer that talks about Em's pre-fame days mentions the SSEP, which is weird considering it barely sold anything.

I think he didn't get a crazy buzz like 50 or Drake before they got signed but he definitely got something big.
Remember some interviews by LL Cool J, Redman, etc.. saying "Dre got a dope white MC coming up"
He had a real underground buzz with Just Don't Give A Fuck, 5 Stars General and Scary Movies a bit before My Name Is.
