Here's a pitchfork substitute that you can enjoy in the meanwhile: "homophobia", "misogyny", " out of touch"

"But Eminem seems, in a larger way, removed from the cultural context of the past 15 years. In his early tracks, like “’97 Bonnie and Clyde” or “The Real Slim Shady,” Eminem was provocative in a manner that was all about cultural context. Today, he’s just boring."

he's got a point, tbh

Eminem not reflecting people's Twitter feeds in his lyrics does not make him boring.

If Eminem messes with a famous or with gay people everyone goes crazy

If Eminem say in a song that those who want to silence him they will end up worse than victims of the attack in boston marathon (in PK) ... nobody gives a shit

Fucking logic.

oh for fuck's sake

No surprises here. Pitchfork is not just a music site, but push a specific socio-political agenda. And this album was worse than MMLP2 in terms of what they think is "acceptable content". So, it was always going to get a low score.

EDIT: I hadn't read the article when I made the comment. Shows you shouldn't assume things. The article is a direct criticism of his rhymes. No mention of homophobia or misogyny. Just saying that what he is saying doesn't make sense anymore, he twists and bends words in a weird manner just to make it rhyme, there is no musicality in his songs because the beat may as well not exist given his verbiage. Not only that, the greatest hits disc is bunch of throwaway songs (except 2-3). So it seems like they are trying their best to belittle his skill level as a rapper (which is yet another way of furthering their agenda).

The reviewer sounds pissed off and offended that Eminem exists :coffee:. So, Eminem won, Pitchfork lost.
