My new respect for Eminem.

Postby Hadez » Apr 24th, '09, 01:51

everyone here has made a pointless thread. now it's my turn.

his interview with that one chick today gave me a new kind of respect for Eminem and his efforts in Relapse. he says Dre made a jillion tracks and Em got to pick. he says he picked the ones that challenged him. he said it was finding new ways to switch up his flow.

i respect that. i would rather he looked for a challenge to do somethin new than to do what he's always done. Encore was a problem cuz it kinda seemed half-assed. but i can see the effort he's put into these couple singles that you people keep bitching about.

the level of rhyming skill is, in my opinion, very nice. he does a great job with that. "We Made You" had very little subject to it. just celeb bashing. but "3 A.M." actually paints a nice picture. and if you sit back and actually try to envision what he's saying it's got quite the imagery goin on.

you guys are seriously dismissing everything good about these songs over stupid accent and a fart noise. especially this new song. you guys can't see past the nit picky crap you keep going on about to actually see that "3 A.M." is very creative.

personally i'd give the song a 4.5/5 but whatever. i'll tell your moms you all need a diaper change.

It's the way people are writing relapse off already, that's really annoying.

I like different opinions. It makes things more interesting. :y:

Unfortunately, there's lots of "wtf? the accent :tounge2: " "the accent sucks" "he sounds retarded" "whats wrong with his voice?" "uuuuggggghhhhh, em fell off" "fuck this shit" "this sucks."

:shakehead:

that's exactly my point. if people had something else to complain about then it'd be not problem for me. but people just keep dwelling on it and all dramatic about it.

That’s when my days as serial murder manslaughter begun
The sight of blood excites me That might be an artery son
Your blood covered and screams just don’t seem to bother me none

I understand that everyone wants to stand up for Eminem, I mean we all love him, but honestly you have to look at his music a little more objectively and not just become instantly enamored because it is him.

I think definitely he had some nice rhymes on the track, he had a nice beat too. I think people appreciate that he's rhyming a little bit.

But the facts are facts--his accent is annoying and gets hard to listen to. I understand it being fun for We Made You, but 3 AM isn't even radio friendly and I think most of us who were disappointed by We Made You were hoping that this track would bring out the serious, more rap focused/less pop focused song.

So if we receive the same thing again--you can't blame some of us for being really disappointed and disheartened about it. The song is not great, and as long as Eminem continues to show his immaturity, or his perception of one (burps, farts, showing up 20 minutes late to the interview)--the more I think some of us fans feel really concerned about the album.

There is still hope, but don't call us haters, we just want to hear some good music.
