Artists are probably sick if hearing their music when they're done with the record. If it comes on the radio they switch the station. and if they listen to it they might be uspet with the way they did something and they may have better ideas or shit like that. (although they may listen to see where they need improvement) i dont think they mind performing it because they're telling the fans the story/message.

yes he bumps his own shit....he even said it in a interview talking about relapse..he was like..dres got a copy, and I keep a copy in my car..then he goes on to say that after he went out and bought thousands of cds to catch up with the music industry jus listening to everything. Some artists consider their music their favorite...and your also right about not like listening to it again...Thom yorke from radiohead always claims he cannot listen to most of their records ...he says its an awful experience to him , but he loves to perform his songs because its like recapturing the song that got let out of its cage amongst the savages...but then again some artists listen to their music only like aphex twin..as for me ..I like to listen to my music and get a feeling of euphoria when it has been a while since Ive heard certain tracks..but Im always left witht the feeling of wow I could have done this and took this extra time to make it better ann ect ect ...but some tracks I feel are jus great and dont think its weird at all to bump your own music...
