Yeah but I just mean on tracks other than his solo output.

He's still on a track / music that isn't his solo work, seems to step it up just a bit more. Maybe when he's on his solo that is the best he can bring and... It's the competition, the idea of sharing a track and needing to shine that brings it out of him.
