Postby TheWeirdoIsBack » Feb 27th, '10, 20:09

Has anything Em ever said or done actually ever offend anyone here? Like, has anything ever really been THAT hard to stomach for you?

I wasn't being sarcastic, and I didn't misunderstood him.

Didn't he ask if Eminem said or did something that is hard for us to stomach?

no lol

I really don't need to go further into detail. He stretches free-speech as far as possible; and then some. Anybody who is willing to do such a thing, already has too much respect from me. There's no way he could offend me.

no, don't remember any
it's just, what he says in his songs is music to me - so it's art - and art jumps over limits

No.

I don't get offended. Well that's a lie, I do but it's more pissed off than offended and it's at things like ignorance and any sub-branch of ignorance or idiocy (racism, sexism etc.)

But there's no extremity of any sense that turns my stomach, offends me or is 'too much' for me. He always butters everything with layers of irony, character, tongue-in-cheek etc. So it's especially impossible for him to offend me. It's art. Even when it's vulgar or plain silly.

But even some rappers who I consider racist (Mos Def and co.) - I still listen to and love their music. I don't not listen or watch things because I disagree with some of the views expressed. And I fucking hate people who think that way.

Even if Eminem turned out to be a fucking serial killer for real, that doesn't suddenly diminish the art he's created. I still wouldn't deny the genius of his music and I would still love to listen to it.

So... No.

Nah, never offensive to me but i do find the celebrity bashing a little old now in songs like "we made you" the "same song & dance" bashing is better.
