who selects who gets nominated for that award? cause honestly that site is total crap, there's almost no info there n the layout sucks :tounge2:

n ur not supposed to be voting for Eminem here, ur supposed to be voting for a website so although i know ur bound to be biased because of ur love for Em try to look past that n acknowledge the best websites instead of voting blindly for the name... sorry if i offended any of u but it really bugs me that ppl seem to miss the point of these awards n just vote for their favourite artist...

yep i get that, and the reason i think eminem.com is a good site is because of the new layout now with the anmation at the beginning, i think its interesting, different, funny and clever etc. each time i watch it there is a new thing i didnt notice. so i voted for eminem.com becuase i havent seen any other sites like that and web design is part of my what i am studyin at univeristy so i go on lotsa site and have to analyse etc and havent seen one like this - usually flash sites annoy me.

if u study web design at uni u also know that good webdesigns are not only about animations but also about general layout, usability n information level n i think the site's lacking considerably in those areas - actually i find it quite useless. u don't n that's fine with me as long as u vote for the site n not the artist

well its my opinion, for this award the content of the site doesnt matter i am looking at the design and the site is based on that animation at the beginning. it sets the whole tone for the site, also the whole thing is based on eminems career move now with his greatest hits and retirement etc which is all reflected in the animation and site which i love. i feel like the animation is a large portion of the site and there is lots of info in there aswell about eminem and it is done in an interesting and interactive way, which i think is great and fun. most site do not have interaction like that for the user. and like i said before the naimation has great detail in it too. i am glad it is not all a flash site and just the animation is because full flash sites can be annoying to navigate around whereas eminem.com is pretty simple to navigate as it is not a large website with many submenus etc.

also there are no real web design mistakes i can see, there isnt much scrolling for the whole site only in the content window, easy to navigate, easy to read, easy to find what i am looking for, and no obtrusive background colour, font or annoying flash images that wont stop, or long loading times etc. its not about the content its about the layout, or the way information is displayed and like i said before the animation in the beginning has a lot of information embedded in the site. yes there isnt much content but the content there is has been placed neatly and easy for the user to read etc. also the animation is a huge part of the site i do not think it should be disregard. the point of eminem.com is to find info about eminem which you do news, bio, disco, tours, audios, videos etc so its not really useless. perhaps to a big eminem fan there isnt as much info on there apart from news, store, extras etc. whereas people who do not know much about eminem will find other sections interesting like bio and disco etc. official sites cannot have the same kind of content as fan site and like i said before its not based on content it is based on design. a web designer doesnt deal with what content is used they design the site and add the content which the client gives them, so no need to talk about content really.

i already said i voted for the site not the artist anyway, and even if i did i dont see why it should matter to you.
