Yeah I was thinking I'd like to listen to this album stoned. not smoked weed in months so maybe its time

I think that's intentionally like that though.
Because he can hold notes ("Hailie's Song" and "Kim") pretty well. I think he purposely sung it that way to make it more catchy and add a certain... I'm not sure. Sounds kind of 80s.
Sounds class to me though.
