I don't buy albums much either.

And feel leaking has justified ownership of music more. Artists are quick enough to bitch but if your music is THAT good most people will be enticed to actually have the whole experience.

So the only artists that should be really annoyed are the ones who have a few singles and shit actual albums. And with the use of the word actual there I'm actually implying an actual artist in the actual genre of rap who's actual name could be half of a dollar in all actuality.

I feel it justifies it because why should people have to buy things blindly anyway. If you buy a car you can usually drive it around first see if you like it. So for me the leak is just my 'preview'. If it's shit I won't buy it and why should I, that's my prerogative, if it's great - I'll buy it. The right to buy what is to your taste.

I really don't have the money to waste on a cd. I really enjoy Eminem's albums. I have purchased the SSLP and MMLP, but no others. It may be wrong or whatever, but I don't think Eminem is going to starve to death if I don't buy his cd.

I usually just buy the Itunes version, which still counts for record sales, but this one I'm considering buying an official version just because some of the artwork looks pretty cool, ever since Bootlegging on the web went crazy back in like 02-03 , the labels started cutting corners and the graphic designs on the albums were some of the obviouc cutbacks, most album jackets nowadays are just a picture of the guy standing next to his car, but the Photos I've seen on this one, like Em sitting in the glass box near the renaisance center look pretty cool, I might pick it up

EmBase, yeah that's a great thought if only it worked that way. I know i'm speaking for a lot of people when I say this, I know if I can get the music whether it's great or not I have no incentive to go out and buy it when I could just burn it on CD, where as if I didn't have that option then i'd pretty much be forced to buy it and yes you would get to hear it cuz one it gets released it would still be all over.

No you totally missed the point.

Like I said, you can TEST DRIVE a car.

If you download an album you're not stealing because whose to say you would of bought it anyway. You're previewing, you're test driving. If you like it enough, you'll buy it. Walking into a shop and taking a physical CD is stealing it. Downloading files is not.

You're not deducting physical produce from the market and you're only 'taking' the material in theory. You're not negatively removing it in anyway as it's a carbon copy. So when they compare copyright 'theft' to real theft it's nonsense.
