Anyway, I got to a shoot in Amsterdam which is in the MMLP booklet and Em recalled how he was once going to call the album Amsterdam and the reasons why...
Shoot:

What he said about it in full:
That was probably at least my second, if not my third, time I had been there. That was for The Marshall Mathers LP, and I think it was right around the time I had thought about calling the album Amsterdam. One of the reasons [was because] the first couple of times I had [gone] there, I remember thinking [about] the concept that drugs were legal, and it blew my mind.
I just had this thing stuck on for a while about Amsterdam, like Yo, the place is so fucking' crazy! Hookers are legal - anything! The Red Light District Everything was just kind of - it was just a free-for-all, it felt like. I kind of felt like I had a connection, a similarity with my music, kind of like 'anything goes'. So I got on that kick for a while, that I was gonna call the album Amsterdam.

I remember him saying this before or reading it somewhere else but I don't remember him divulging on the reasons why like that. Maybe an interesting find for anybody who wasn't aware.
I like how he was going to call it that because he felt like in Amsterdam 'anything goes' like in his music. That certainly would of been fitting for what he did with The Marshall Mathers LP. But I'm glad he called it what he did.
