Lose Yourself was included on the tracklist

I know 8 mile came out after "The Eminem Show" and basicially penned "Lose Yourself" to be the theme song to 8 mile because "Cleaning out my closet" was too personal. Lose Yourself also has many references to Rabbit and the movie.

but what if Eminem made a similar version of the song and without all the references to 8 mile. and released that as a single for TES.

Do you think TES would be more remembered and influential than MMLP, considering the song's success or do you think that the movie had alot to do with the song's success?

It's considered by many his best album. MMLP is just considered his most important. It's a monster force of modern art but TES is a better album.

Oh well, then I meant more Important. I guess I misused the word Popular . If TES had Lose Yourself replacing a weaker song, like Drips. It would be a near flawless album (it is now, but LY would take it to another level). but would it replace MMLP in people's minds as most important?

Not sure even what you would mean by important, but the MMLP is loved more by pretty serious Eminem fans generally, and I don't think one song would have changed that. MMLP just really perfectly reflects what Eminem was all about, what made him different, what made him great, and what really made me become as big of a fan as I am.

Important like his magnum opus. "Lose Yourself" is Eminem's biggest song though, and would make the album pretty much perfect. but to answer my own question, no. MMLP is my favorite, and caputures what I like about Eminem's music better than TES even with "Lose Yourself" plus It has better concepts

Teenage girls bump emo music like Hailie's Song and Mockingbird and poppy music. So they like The Eminem Show, Encore and Recovery.

They don't generally like SSLP/MMLP/Relapse.

I doubt it. MMLP was the one that propelled him to super-stardom and cemented him fully in hip-hop. Also, the fact MMLP is more 'artistic' stops TES being / feeling more 'important' to music.

As on MMLP you have more concept and innovative ideas.

But lyrically, production wise and as an actual album... Musically, TES is better and his best.
