Is this a testament to TES or is it just nostalgia?

Postby bozothe1 » Jun 21st, '10, 09:20

I need a second party to help me figure this out. Now my favorite album ever is TES, and I think there are just so many legendary songs on it.. however, I love the crap out Relapse and Recovery and they are just so amazing.. And yet they aren't close to TES.

So basically, I think for example 25 to life from Recov and Same Song and Dance from Relapse are just about as good as you can get, If I have never listened to about 15 songs from TES I would say that Recov and Relapse although vastly different are the best of the best and nothing else is close... I would honestly believe that there is no way possible to make better songs.. Am I nostalgic in saying that something like Till I Collapse from TES is better? And I'm not talking like Say Goodbye Hollywood is comparable and better than Spacebound or something, I'm talking like TES songs compared to others are like comparing Kobe Bryant to a 37 y/o Jermaine Oneal. Do ya think it's because TES was simply just boosted to an unachievable standard because it was my first em album and the one to get me into music (even though I listened to others, they never had the same effect on me) or is the reason that it actually did so much for me just another testament to the level of those songs?

It probably seems like a stupid question but I just need to get it right because I'll be listening to any recovery song and be going wow this is so amazing and then I'll think of a TES song even one like Business with its amazing lyrics and go damn and want to listen to that. Thanks.

Nice. Btw how is Eminem gonna release 2 pieces of poo as bonus tracks after releasing amazing ones for Relapse? Ridaz is like the soft homo version of Fight Music and Session is just..

after listening to Recovery for a whole week straight, i took a break and went back to The Eminem Show and Marshall Mathers LP. IMO Recovery is like in the same caliber as them and the only reason I'd prefer The Eminem Show is because of nostalgia. I think they're all great. Can't choose the best!

PS: plus his flow/delivery (or whatever you'd call it) was best in The Eminem Show
