What if Talkin 2 Myself was the 1st single for Recovery?

What would of been your reaction if Talkin 2 Myself was the 1st single over Not Afraid? Let me start off by saying that I think Not Afraid was a great song for the 1st single. Lyrically, it's what I wanted to hear to start off the hype for Recovery. Production, I thought could of been way better. I would of loved to see what Dr. Dre would of done with that track. I've seen people complain about the production of the song and that some people didn't like the hook. IMO, Talkin 2 Myself would also have also been a great 1st single to start off Recovery. It has a better beat than Not Afraid, and also has a great hook by Kobe. Lyrically, it shows how his mindset was when he was on drugs to admit he almost disses Lil Wayne and Kanye. and then goes on to say in the 3rd verse that both Encore and Relapse should be non existant. And like Not Afraid, says that he doesn't want to let his fans down again.

Idk, I would not have like to see Eminem start off with a love song. I don't mind that being the 2nd or 3rd single, and not the one to start the hype off Recovery. and No Love is a great song, but it's always good to start off an album with just Eminem. No Love also would be a great 2nd or 3rd single.

Nah, Not Afraid sets the tone and has a great sing-along hook; IMO more catchy than T2M. It's an anthem song and it has that distinct radio hit sound. T2M would still make for a good single but I don't think it would have made sense for the first one when he had stronger ones to work with. Not Afraid, LTWYL, and No Love would all be better choices. And out of all those songs, Not Afraid is the only one where it's just him, so I like that the first single shows him standing alone considering the theme of the album.

Yeah, I agree with the ones saying Not Afraid was the right choice for the 1st single.
I can't describe how popular that song is around here. Everybody, and I mean everybody, is walkin' around singin' that hook. It sticks, and that's important for a single.

Also, Seduction is huge around here too.
And it should be, because I've said it before, and I say it again. it's the best track on the album!
