Im under the impression Em will be droppin albums regularly

Postby LLockhart86 » Jun 26th, '10, 22:43

Nothing real to stand by on that statement...just his whole feel now. Seems like, if what was said was true, if he made 100 songs for Recovery and picked the best ones then he's just in a making music mode.

And if making music is part of his recovery, then I would assume he would keep making music to stay away from drugs. Thats what makes me think we'll have albums every 1-1.5 years from him. If he was able to make 100 songs in a year....then we should get albums from him regularly.

Which is a good thing. I mean, people keep askin whether or not he's going to stop makin music because of 25 to life and what not...but, I dont think thats the case. I think music has become part of his Recovery and he will keep making music as a way to stay clean. At least for a little while anyways.

He might be a case of having 10-12 studio albums having been released during his time in the mainstream. Seems like a bit much, but if he's making an album every year or two for the next 5 years then we could very well get our hands on 3 more albums.

Which would make it ten right? Not too many artists stay around that long to make that many albums and stay successful while doing it. He may just go down as the best selling, most widely accepted rap artist (or just artist in general) in history. Rock bands cant stay together long enough to do that...pop stars are fads..and rap stars, well, something usually happens to where they cant make music for that long of a time period. Killed, wasted money, change their style so much they become irrelevant. I mean, for example, Bone thugs n harmony was a great group, probably one of the best rap groups ever( imo they are the best ever ) and they couldnt even hold it together to do this. Bizzy bone was the most liked artist out of the group , probably due to his voice being so different , and he couldnt do it. He's a prime example of switchin up the style too much. Bein on drugs, quiting drugs, praising jesus, then becoming muslim...and talkin about it all on each record.

Thats all. Just got off ban and wanted to make a thread. Sorry if its shit. Just some thoughts...we may be experiencing history that lives on forever. If he plays his cards right, he could be bigger than pac and big ever were.

I agree for the most part, but I've got a feeling he might produce for a year or so before even thinking about another album. However, with the amount he's writing lately, it wouldn't surprise me if he brought out another album in a couple years.

I think he'll take a bit of time to work on Shady Records, especially with SH signing. I think having Royce around will improve the label and Em's work ethic as well.

I see it being something like:
-D12 album (late '10)
-SH album (early '11)
-Em album (mid-late '11)

I think Cashis will be dropped or leave before his album comes out.

Then seriously work on Shady Records and try and make it good.

Kinda off-topic but on Em's final album, I'd love the whole album to be a career reflector. Looking back from the start to the end. Em's at his best when he's storytelling and reflecting.

I might be beating a dead horse here but...

Have you listened to Epiphany at all? Or is the only tpain music you heard shit on the radio ( which imo doesnt compare to his solo stuff on that album )

I mean, I get people not liking his music. But I dont think people give him enough of a chance.

And on topic...I dont think he's going to be spending a lot of time on shady records. SH is a group that he doesnt need to be as hands on with their music as the others since they have for the most part already established themselves as artists. All the other artists he brought up, he was trying to make a career out of nothing. SH is a group that every one of the members already has a career. So its like, alright, make an album and you'll have me to help promote and get the name out there in the mainstream more.

Shady records might just be good artists that are affiliated with the goat. Which would be good for the record company

There's no 'may' involved...he's already the best selling rap artist....so he WILL go down as the best selling rap artist.

i'm entitled to my own preference, opinions and taste
and i facepalmed cuz i couldn't see that possible. im not saying it'd be bad or anything but i just can't see it happening. i know T-Pain has plenty of number one hits and a couple of them i love
i simply cannot see eminem collabing with T-Pain but anything is possible. He did collab with Lil Wayne
