Relapse close to double platinum

Postby .Rabbit » Jun 30th, '10, 14:30

Eminem and Drake both watched their already-charting previous releases sell - but not to their plaque benchmarks. Drake's mixtape-turned-album, So Far Gone sits 11,000 units short of gold. Meanwhile, Em's Relapse is 14,000 short of double platinum. Both are expected to achieve these marks by early July.

Interscope has to ask for it and pay cash.

^^Interesting, it says on that wiki page that its 80,000 to go platinum in Canada, i always thought it was 100,000 but if so than Recovery has just gone platinum in Canada in one week.

DRAKE only actually sold 31,000 copies in Canada (first week) and the only reason people were saying he has gone platinum in Canada, is because 100,000 copies were shipped thats all.

100,000 copies shipped
31,000 sold

oh my
dead @ Drake, that would explain his drop to 12k this week in Canada
damn Drake failed, Em outsold him in his own country :facepalm

it's great, but still has fillers. It's not MMLP or SSLP but slightly better than TES imo.

that's cool  SSLP is his most creative album for me so Recovery has to settle with that 3rd place.

4th place for me, nowhere near his first 3 albums (not that I was expecting it to be better), just ahead of Relapse.

since we had such different opinions on Relapse I doubt we'd share the same opinion about Recovery anyway :sweating: it's no surprise
His maturity in Recovery by far exceeds TES. In TES there was too much whining & bitching (still great album though)
