Would Not Afraid have sounded better with a guitar?

Postby CLV22798 » Jul 18th, '10, 19:00

Ever since Eminem released the song Not Afraid, I have thought that it is the best single he has ever came out with. It was the type of song that I wanted to hear him come out with to start off Recovery. The only problem I have with the song is that I think the song could have come out even better than it did. The beat to me sounds so simple, and doesn't sound that good to me. The first time I heard it, I always thought Not Afraid would sound really good with a guitar in the background. It would give it that big epic feeling, eye of the tiger type vibe. I've been searching for months on youtube, to see if people have tried to make a rock remix to Not Afraid. and I hadn't found remixes to it until yesterday. I found a few rock remixes that I liked, a couple of them were beats completely made over with a rock version of Not Afraid. and then there was one that had the original beat, but with a guitar in the background throughout the song. That was the one that I liked best. The guitar gave the song that epic feeling that it should of had. Not that the original song didn't have an epic feeling. but with a guitar over it, gave it an even bigger epic feeling. I wanted to see what you guys think of it.

I didn't like it all all. The main snare/drums or whatever overpowered the guitar and it just seemed out of place.

Not a bad thought though. :y:

I think the guitar sounded awesome in the chorus, it made it sound really good. and to me, it gave it more of an epic feeling to the lyrics.

Not bad, alot of Em's songs sound good with guitar, i think the 3am remix is far better than the original.

i love this song the way it is

did anyone notice that Dre used the same snare on a song before? try and guess which one...hint: its on one of Game's albums and it's just a single hit, but its exactly the same sound
