Probably not, but you've got to remember he's not a new/fresh artist and his first album was released 11 years ago in 1999. For him to be STILL this popular 11 years later is incredible, and unheard of in the modern day.

I doubt Lady Gaga / Taylor Swift will still be doing this well in 10 years from now.

I doubt Lady Gaga will be popular 3 years from now...She's just a trend who is more famous for her image than her actual music. But Taylor is a different story, she does country/pop music. Those genres usually have more loyal fan-bases which means they would have more longevity and relevance in the music industry.

if facebook was around back in 2000-2002 im sure those numbers would be even higher. Nothing can compare popularity wise to him back then. The music was insane. everyone every was bumping his shit plus all the controversy with his lyrics and the Kim/mom court shit. To me he was way more popular back then its just easier to notice him these days b/c of all the 24/7 media outlets

I wasn't a fan back in '99-'02 (I was like 10), but I remember him being everywhere in that time period. He was huge, and you didn't have to be a fan of him to know that.

He's just a notch under in popularity than what he was in 2000-2003. I think if he had massive tours and shit like that like he use to, he would be as popular. He was just more outgoing back in the day which added to his popularity. I mean Em was like Britney Spears and N' Sync popular back then.

I can't speak for the US but in the UK i would say his at the same level as 04/05 when he had 2 #1's in a row in the UK but not as popular as he was in 2000, pretty close to his 2002 level here. But 2000 was his prime in the UK. Just check his Brit Awards performance in 2001 and they all go completely crazy when he appears.
