They won't fuck him over again after all the backlash they got last year over it and if they don't put his name on the list this year, when he definitely is one of the hottest MCs this year, there will be more backlash then there was last year. That being said I don't think MTV would put him in the top three.

The only reason they didn't put him on it last year is because they thought he was irrelevant enough to the point where no one would notice/care/say anything because they believed mainstream listeners didn't care or notice Relapse. They were wrong, there was controversy, and they had to make up half assed excuses to justify it.
They only make up lists to satisfy what they think the viewers want, hence why Drake and Wayne received so much praise on the list and Jay Z spear headed this centriole of bullshit to give it that "oh, he's the prominent veteran on the list, obviously he's gonna be at the top to not risk putting Wayne above him and pissing everyone off"
That being said, Eminem will definitely be put in the top 3 this year since the public has made it obvious to EVERYONE what they like to hear. TL;DR: MTV slept on Em, but this year around the mainstream won't let his nuts breathe.
