dr.dre new project (not detox)

Postby nuke » Aug 4th, '10, 20:20

So dr.dre is now working on an all instrumnetal album about the solar system, he is going to call planets. He says he has been studying each planet for the last 2 years and is going to make a beat for ach planet on how he feels it will sound..

Eh, if I was a Dre fan I'd be pretty pissed. It would be like Eminem releasing something like this when he hasn't made a CD in forever.

Guess it's good I'm not a Dre fan.

Don't get your hopes up.

This is pretty old news, honestly. I remember reading that Dre was wanting to do this a year or two ago--and it was a past-tense bit of news at that time. Look up an article on Dre's ex-assistant or bodyguard, something like that. The guy wrote an expose' type of book, talking about his life working for Dre. In the article, he mentions the Planets project--hailing Dre as a genius.

However, it didn't come out back then, and I don't see why it would come out now. If Dre can't be satisfied with a rap album, why would he be satisfied with something so completely experimental that it would be hard to definitively complete?
