A new song ft. my friend, as well as some non-rap songs.

Postby ThomasAguanis » Jan 12th, '10, 09:33

So my friend Chaz and I decided to make a song the other night. We finished it today, but it's not mixed aside from an echo here and there. I recently downloaded audacity, but haven't learned how to use it properly yet, so I know the songs will need better mixing, and also need to be rerecorded too.

Tom & Chaz- Wake Up
http://usershare.net/zimn0esg05nq
EDIT: Let it be known, Chaz has never seriously rapped before, he usually just sings rock songs.

After Chaz and I finished our song, our friend Mikey came over and recorded with us a bit. Here's a song Chaz and Mikey did. It still needs drums, and such, but oh well:

Mikey & Chaz- The Beaches

and here's a bonus Mikey recorded just fucking around when Chaz left the room. Mikey doesn't think he can sing, but I think differently.

Mikey- Elmer the Dildo

Anyway, thanks to whoever listens and responds. Chaz and I plan to rerecord Wake Up, possibly changing the chorus, and we also plan on recording a bunch of songs, possibly putting together a mixtape/album of some sort. We seem to work very well together. As for Mikey and Chaz, they"re in a blues/rock band called Good Question, and are currently working on an album. They're also planning on recording some acoustic music, as seen above, just for shits and giggles. As for me, well I'm feeling creative again and plan on recording a whole lot more. If anyone wants to collab, pm me and we'll get to work as soon as possibly. I've been recording stuff quick lately, and promise not to take longer than a week (most likely 1-3 days) to complete a song feature. Thanks again everyone. :y:

Yeah I still have that song. My flow was all fucked up on it, I didn't know what I was doing haha. The beat was nuts, it was a Queen sample, with a Metallica sample *listens*. But as for now, I'm not sure what type of beat you want to use, but finding one should be easy. I'm down to collab whenever. I'll pm you if I think of anything before you do.

Thanks for listening Chris, we may change the hook when we get to rerecording. As for the guitar tracks, they're not for everyone, but maybe you'd like their other band better, they're more hard rock/blues/ well a lot of genres into one. I'll try to get a hold of some of their songs soon and put them up.

I personally liked the guitar tracks more than Wake Up. Your friend Mikey can sing, even though you can tell he's listened to Sublime at least once--perhaps that's just what I'm picking up though. Nice stuff, overall.

If you get the time, I'd like it if you checked out the song in my sig. There aren't too many people on here that do anything with non-rap music, and I could use the feedback from some one else who's posted non-rap material.

Nice stuff, the Beaches was nice. :y:

Thanks for listening man. I'll give your song a listen when I'm done with this. Mikey is a fan of Sublime, and both him and Chaz have covered Sublime songs with their other band (Good Question) haha. I don't see it as a bad thing though. :y:

Thanks for listening Tash. The humming part is going to stay, but my rapping part needs some serious changes. :y:

Wake Up:
that was really sick...emotions were intense and I love that. It had some really deep lines. Flow was on point. Lyrics were tight, the verse had nice vocabulary. Delivery needed to be more aggressive but it wasn't bad at all.
Tell me lord is there any one I can trust?
or I'm I just meant to sit here wither and rust?

Simple but very prodfound...aced that. :y:
I'm the letters that alphabet never heard about, the words that the lines couldn't manage to gather, the lines that the verses failed to comprehend, the verses that no song would dare to embrace, the song that no pen would ever write down.
