I think you have a lot of potential bro. I've said it before, although not sure if they approved it yet,(God I hate that we have to wait for approval...really takes away from this board) but I think you have a unique voice and if you use it in THIS lane that this song was, it could really work for you. It sounded believable.
I forget the cats name that has a really soft voice rapping about killing people and eating souls..his voice plus his delivery didn't match the lane he was driving in...you on the other hand, here..did.
Thats the good stuff, as far as criticism...Your voice should be louder over the beat. If you have a mixer turn your voice up more. (At least that is how it sounded in the cheap head phones I had at work) I think you need to work on quality control, your falling off the beat in some parts and just saying "Fuck it, that can stay on my finished work".
This happened to me when I used to record on a program where I couldn't fix specific parts easily. I would have to nail the entire song the first time...lol it used to suck. Now I can go fix specific bars and you need to do that.
It really messes up the rhythmic presence and the idea that you know what your doing. At times it seems like you really got your shit together and the only thing holding you back is equipment and mixing know how...and at other times...its seems like you need to work on your delivery more.
Luckily for you, this part is fixable with time and practice so keep it up and don't stop recording and go invest in some better equipment. Hell you can get a decent mic that comes with Pro Tools SE (Good starting point) for only 90.00 bucks.
