[Intro]
I can smell it in your clothes, I can see it in your eyes,
I can smell it in your home, I can see it in your lies,
I can smell it 'cause I know that it's a demon in disguise,
I can smell it 'cause I know that you are meeting your demise.

[Verse 1: Solace]
Sail away with me and we could have a better afterlife,
I'm saying this to those of you that had no chance and had to die,
I'm sinking through regret with the water to my chin,
Every single word you said is crawling through my skin,
It's haunting me again, always putting me on blast,
I think of times in which I stood beneath your laugh,
I think of times in which I couldn't see your mask,
And we might be over but we shouldn't equal past,
(But it is what it is) Send the ashes to ashes,
Trapped in the sadness, crackin' with madness,
Hang myself with the universal fabric,
How do I manage, truth is that I've had it,
Counting every second, every moment that I take,
Broken, I'm a waste, I have shown that I am fake,
Bask in the suns glow, finally break,
You can smell the insecurity a mile away.

[Chorus] x2
I lay, as I hunt for something worse,
With another pointless word and the loss of making sense,
I pray and my lungs are going to burst,
While I'm running from this earth so I fall and lay to rest.

[Verse 2: Redzek]
I used to get jealous but it was never my attitude,
I'd just look in her eyes, and somehow I'd get at the mood,
She wasn't good, at that time she went with her friends,
But wasn't even sorry...That is where our story ends,
So love is something, but respect is something else,
If you break it its broken, then after that nothing helps,
There's something weird about you that made me real doubtful,
How could you ever try to forget me, you're out your,
Mind, this time I'll remind you that I'm no longer blind,
You betrayed our love, I guess you couldn't you find a wronger crime,
I used to like her...Maybe 'cause she liked me,
I wouldn't fight first, crazy how I might be,
Sometimes, it reminds me that now I am lonely,
If only, you did know me you'd know that I got my homies,
So I don't need you anymore and please do not phone me,
You had my heart but hopefully it would drop slowly.

[Chorus] x2
I lay, as I hunt for something worse,
With another pointless word and the loss of making sense,
I pray and my lungs are going to burst,
While I'm running from this earth so I fall and lay to rest.

[Bridge]
I can smell it in your clothes, I can see it in your eyes,
I can smell it in your home, I can see it in your lies,
I can smell it 'cause I know that it's a demon in disguise,
I can smell it 'cause I know that you are meeting your demise.
I'm drowning over and over again (x4)

[Chorus] x2
I lay, as I hunt for something worse,
With another pointless word and the loss of making sense,
I pray and my lungs are going to burst,
While I'm running from this earth so I fall and lay to rest.

That beat is absolutely sick and really captures the emotions. Your verse Man is just.. :worship: I can really feel what you say, you make good down songs! The hook was well done, and again the lyrics on it were pretty good!

Redzek.. your accent is really hard to get past. The lyrics were good, its just the strong accent that really kills your verse for me. I listened to this song a couple of times and I just couldn't get into your verse! Keep it up though man, one day you will master this shit. You have the lyrics just have to work on the accent!

Overall, this is a pretty good song! I like pretty much everything, this will defiantly be one of the songs that I'll play when I have my down times. Fits the mood perfect.

first of all I just wanna say ,i love your rap voice solace :worship:

solace:

this song was really good, dark but good.
the lyrics were also good and the adlibs (if that's what it's called) were cool too, just don't overdo it to much.

Redzek:

good verse too, great rhymes, it flowed really well.

a thing that annoyed me a bit was the S' sound in the verse, it was just a little to much, and there was also a little bit to much echo on it.

but great track from both of you, deafintly something i would bumb :worship:

This for the most part. I like how u mixed it, kinda change it up when u punched in. I just think u need to keep at it and it will improve ur delivery. idk if its just the flow or the delivery but its like robotic. But overall this was pretty good.

"Sail away with me and we could have a better afterlife,
I'm saying this to those of you that had no chance and had to die"
lol... pretti much what my album is about, hahaha, instantly hooked into the track.

I didnt like the beat too much, the piano is dope but the drum line is very weird haha.

Redzek, what the fucks up with your quality man, you were sounding good on previous track but this one not so much, for instance, the volume of your pellas is ridiculously loud lol. the verse is really dope tho
and yeah, maybe solace's was a bit too low... but yeah, I always like to feed more on quality.

its a beautiful song and both of you did great, and both of you display great uniqueness and that makes you guys dope. this is a great listen, you turned a mid-wack beat into a great song.

just if you could, pay more attention to sound quality and mixdown next time, thats all I can critique.

keep at it :y:

Thanks dk. A lot of people tend to like how my voice sounds, so hopefully that is the case. I'll try not to overdo the adlibs. I appreciate you listening to it.

I absolutely love the beat, but to each his/her own. I'll have to get around to listening to your album, I've downloaded and bumped the first track a couple times, nothing more than that though, so I can see how your album is like. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I liked the production, didnt really like the last guy.. He kind of reminded me of Yelawolf lol. I like the first guy but the flow could have been tightened up a little.. other than that, it was pretty nice :y:

i'll give it a 7/10.. it would be higher if it wasnt for the last guy.

Well fuck me. I was just about to make a thread "Should I lease this beat for the EP?" With this beat, and a verse I'd written to it. I come here to leave feed for the thread and this is the first thing I hear... Haha.

Anyhow, obviously the beat is dope. I fell in love with it when I was looking for instrumentals to lease/buy for a project.

Solace, your emotion and presence is good. I say good and not perfect because, despite being animated, your voice always sounds the same with the same type of emotion.. That's something that just comes over time though.

Your flow is on beat, for the most part, but it still sounds very choppy. It sounds choppy for a few reasons. 1: I don't think you're used to this slow of a beat, and 2: I think the drum pattern is a little difficult for you, with no real noticable snare (hence the stop-go-stop feeling to your flow). You're following the drums and over accentuating on certain words that really don't need to be accentuated, instead of following the melody.

^^^ Those are things to work on but, again, they mostly come with time. But it helps if they're pointed out to you.

Now something that you CAN change: In a few places you elongate words like "Laaaaugh". This technique is fine but it sounds MUCH better if you say it regularly on the main vocal and then elongate it on the overlays. It sounds more natural.

Apart from that, your lyrics were nice man.

Redzek: I honestly don't know where to start. When I hear you I picture a rat behind the mic for some reason. It sounds like you're hunched over telling a secret without really whispering... Idk, I can't describe it. You almost sound like Ax D when he first started out, except your quality makes it really hard to listen to you. Sorry, man.

Redzek, apart from the quality issues.. You NEED to work on lining up your overlays with your verse. That issue is pertinent. It sounds sloppy and very amateur when they're all over the place. I'd comment on your lyrics but I really couldn't hear them, sorry.

Ya'll can check my verseion on this beat if you'd like, haha.

Lease it. What happened to the Faux Pas EP, lol I searched around and there was the topic made May where you and Maybe were saying it was coming out in the summer or something. Another Detoxed project.

Block wrote:Anyhow, obviously the beat is dope. I fell in love with it when I was looking for instrumentals to lease/buy for a project.

I love it too. I would like to hear more beats like this.

Listening back on it, I can definitely hear the choppy on and off flow; it didn't hit me when I released it. I don't know, I thought the elongation of that quad's rhyme worked, but apparently not. I'll keep that in mind. Your description of Redzek is making me think of an Igor lmfao.

Block wrote:Ya'll can check my verseion on this beat if you'd like, haha.

I listened to it, just haven't written thoughts on it (yet). Thanks for listening Block. :y:
