ya i always use to record a second set of vocals, but no matter how well i timed it recording it would never match up when i would do the mix down, was fuckin awkward :/

idk ive seen tutorial where they copy and then just move the overlays a few miliseconds, but
ill have to try and work on my timing i guess and try it that way

good stuff man, the chorus was a little weird for me, but that's just me. i can tell your really trying hard on your delivery, and it shows but it still not where it needs to be. its real close though. your flow is cool, just work on the delivery at certain parts where you have to put alot of emotion in if yk what i mean :y:

mind returning the favor? viewtopic.php?f=38&t=142814

That takes a lot of practice and time meorizing and get the lyrics down pat. Most likely you do a few takes, become pretty satisfied with one then you move to the mixing process. When its best to do a lot of takes on different days, a long with a lot of practice in between. By perparing yourself you: 1 improve the delivery. 2. Able to do more plesant sounding lay overs. 3. The overall flow will become more fluent. This is probably One of this biggest flaws of up and coming artist, ive down it a lot myself, rushing a track. Anyone can read lyrics off a paper with little prep, to actually perform and "spit" with the right emotion you really gotta become one with the lyrics.

I personally only do over lays in hooks and for loud tracks, but thats only because i like the crispyness one take offers. I do however always "stack" my tracks giving that one take a fuller sound.

I gotta say bro I thought the hook was a bit.....wrong to be honest! it didnt fit with the beat and didnt sound amazing quality. lyrically it was a nice piece of work, maybe could have put some more work into the mixing as it seemed that your vocals were just a bit quiet for the beat (and I'm listening to it on Rokit 5 studio monitor speakers). I can see loads of potential though its not a bad track overall and anything that I feel is wrong with it is all mixing work really!

keep up the good work mate
