your best yes coz the greats come from america (rakim nas ect.) but our overall standard is higher for our artist who hit mainstream are better than the guys at the front of american hip hop mainstream (lil wayne, 50 cent, soulja boy ect.) not when it comes to selling records as no uk artist has the budget to even attempt to sell that amount, but skill wise our overall scene is higher than americas right now. goin onto the G.O.A.T and shit your gonni obviously have the americans rule the show soley because hip hop has been growing there for alot longer but in 10 to 20 years once the uk scene grows and has had more time breaking through i beileive out artists will be up there and not ignored when it comes to the best of all time.

but i stand by that dizzy rascal, sway, wiley, kano ect. shit on 90% of american mainstream hip hop, and those guys are our mainstream artists.

Uhhhh.... we didnt even knew america existed when the first hiphop groups appeared here. Well basically, there was a minor knowledge of american music, but nothing hiphop or rap. And those who listened to hiphop, believed that hiphop and rap are different musics, so yeah, there u go.

Well i dont live in UK, Finland, Poland, Germany. I live here and i tell u what its been here. Sure, the first group heard the americans, but really, american hiphop wasnt too much spread here, new groups found it easier to imitate the native groups rather than search a music which they cant understand, because of lingual problems. Basically, greek hiphop has a story similar to east coast west coast beef, which i will refrain from telling.
