Lyrics are nice, the delivery was only a little bit off in places. I think that's mainly due to the fact that you were focusing on getting the story out there, and didn't trip up on hitting the beat perfectly. That's okay, just something to remember.
Also, and this isn't a huge deal, but I can tell that your voice warmed up between the recording of the first verse and the second. Your second verse sounds more full. That's something that happens with my voice as well, and it's due to the fact that you didn't do a full warm-up session. It's not a make-or-break deal, but you'll get better vocal consistency if you do a few run-thru's before recording your verses. Doing your verses at one point, and your dubs/trips at another help with that too. Keeping the verses the same sound, and the dubs and trips the same as well, know what I mean?
Tash8, you're not a perfect singer, but you know that. I'm far from perfect myself, so I can relate. You're getting there though, and it worked for this track. But why, oh wise Abram, why? Mainly because this track and the very hook are about being yourself, along with the imperfections that go with it. That being said, your singing fit the track, and keep working on it.
In all honesty, there's nothing wrong with this track that can't be fixed with another recording session, but with warmed up vocal cords--and that applies to both of you. Jumping in and recording songs is how most people do it, but if you guys were able to devote more time to just warming up, you'd find that this song would sound a little more polished.
All in all, this was a good song, and it's something that you two should be proud of. Good job.
