I thought so too, until I read "You need the lyrics to fully realise how jam packed Lose Yourself is with rhymes."

That has nothing to do with comparing the two songs.

Lol. I see, I see.

The "fully realise" was meant to be covering the "hiddens".

3rd verse is a bit different to the final version, dunno if you're aware of that.

Didn't realise you're a Prince Ea fan, Class. :y:

He's very pretentious at times, but on occasion he is so on point.

Yeah I love his old music and even the occasional new song but I think he's just a huge fucking douche now who doesn't care about his fans and I basically hate him as a person.

Bump for any last opinions. And also if you know anyone that you think might like this then send the link to them. That would help a lot.

This was really great.

I feel the first half is stronger - Cobwebs really impressed me, I'd bump that man. The intro track is fucking well done as well.

The production throughout is excellent. So props on whoever is doing that and props on your beat choice - every beat fitted the corresponding tracks perfectly.

You're a good writer as well - great rhyming, but importantly it doesn't come across forced and Hopsin-esque. There's certainly a few "quotables in there as people are already starting to do.

I personally didn't like the singing on In The End.

In Beautiful Sorrow, nice line about being behind the trigger - but, is that really ironic Class? Lol.

Overall, I would definitely re-listen. But I can see myself switching artist after Cobwebs has finished.

And I posted it in a Facebook music group I'm in.

Sometimes, especially on Hip-Hop, it feels like you are trying to hit the snare when you flow. As opposed to it being completely natural. If that makes sense.

Although, I do think you have a good flow.

I've been listening to this a lot over the past week or so I have to say that I really like it. My favorite tracks are Cobwebs, Hip Hop, and Beautiful Sorrow.

-The chorus on hip hop is awesome and does a good job of setting to tone for the song. I think the last verse talking about old school rap was a little cliche but it worked well enough.

-The beat on Cobwebs is amazing and your flow/delivery complimented it perfectly. Again the way you fast pace sing the chorus worked great. A lot of your choruses sound the same though, so I'd just be conscious of not sounding repetitive (Not that it necessarily is here). The same goes for mixing up your flow.

-The way the beat transitioned in from the intro then you start up fast on In The End was perfect. I'm not a fan of the chorus. I remember the first time I heard it and I thought it sounded amateurish and took away from the song. It's grown on me a bit, but I still think it could be done better.

-Your delivery on Feel Alive is neat in the way that you sound almost timid at the start of the song then show more emotion as it goes along. I'm glad you sampled the chorus here. It worked well and was a switch up from the choruses at the beginning of the tape.

-Coming to an End was nice. The beat and your flow were the best parts but it wasn't memorable.

-Not really my type of track but some of the punches in this were great. "Drop more wrappers than fat kids on Halloween"

Overall I think this was a great first tape. One thing I would have liked to see is some sort of story-telling track. Something along the lines the The Funeral I think would have fit nicely. Another critique I have which probably isn't fair because it's your first EP is that the tape was fairly predictable. Love song, punchline song, song about hip hop etc...I would have liked you to take more of a risk and maybe experiment with some different concepts. Good job though, been listening to this a lot on my phone.

Thanks for listening man, that's awesome and I'm glad you liked it. Hip-Hop was written almost 2 years ago when obviously my writing wasn't as good as it is now so I definitely see what you're saying about hitting the snare. I think my writing is to the point now where I don't even really notice the snare and I'm just flowing it however I want. Thank you though, and yes it is ironic.

@Robbie G, thanks to you too. Your response is really appreciated. About your criticisms, Feel Alive was pretty much my story telling track. Although it was different from the Funeral in the sense that it I wasn't very detailed and I made it vague intentionally so that people could interpret it however they wanted and insert their own back story. And I definitely see what you're saying about it being predictable. I guess I was just trying to rap my ass off and didn't worry about concepts. Hopefully in the future I can fix that.
