Sentus, Tom Chambers & D. Dubs- The Angels Caw

Postby classthe_king » Feb 24th, '11, 04:24

Yes I know Chambers and D. Dubs made me look bad but it only opened my eyes to how bad my quality really is so hopefully I'll be fixing that soon :y:

I struggle to strive in these ever so cumbersome times
As I'm soaked by the rain cloud that covers the skies
So don't be wonderin why there's no love in these eyes
Cause my heart is one place that it doesn't reside
Trust me, I've done love and I'm done with its lies
That's why you won't find any trust in my life
My faith was lost to the leaves on this path to the dark
For the crows have an unrelenting grasp on my heart
I lost track from the start so I tried to trace ya steps
But all I found where the black feathers of your sacred treck
I was so close to going over I could taste the death
But I slowly fell back to the ravens nest
And now I'm tangled all up in the mangled straw
As I listen to the screech of the angels caw
My face was slashed by her most hateful claw
As I'm broken by the hearts most painful flaw

I guess you’re caught in my thoughts so I’m jailed,
Cause you said our time has past (passed), but how, when we ‘failed’,
To reach any agreement, an empty sequence,
Where envy’s pretense, it lead to descent,
Again we pretend, to mend and see then,
We can’t but we can, I guess it depends,
…I’m fuckin goin off the ‘deep end’,
And you’re just a ‘shallow’ bitch, that resends,
The same text to any guy on the weekend,
You’re sleepin around now, I can’t even sleep and,
The worst part is I didn’t even sense this,
And now I write, like I left this temptress,
And each sentence repents and regresses,
It’s excessive, yeah, but the message,
Is just that when you’re in it you’re senseless,
But love isn’t blind, it’s just fuckin endless…

I edited in my lyrics, just need to get chambers, he can edit his in to if he sees this :y:

good day for Trshady, 2 Bomb tracks on the same day :worship:

-sentus first verse was good, there are a couple lines where the flow kinda breaks. I love the lyrics, I like the way you write, not too exagerated, but still not simple, thats good for Hip Hop.
-The hook, I didn liked it, not fan of the singing lol. I like the melody and lyrics of it tho.
-Chambers second verse was hot, I rewinded it to listen again, damn man, that was good. kinda deep too, but weird. I liked it
-Ddubs, you always have a diferent delivery on songs, very noticeable, I think its good, But I had never asked myself before if its good or bad to do that. sounds great on here, so I guess thats what matters haha. good verse

I was not expecting this kind of song from you three, I imagined with the cover and all, that it was going to be a lyrical gangbang lmao. Either way I liked it, the beat was a bit too repetitive but the piano was nice.

overall.
almost 5 stars :y:

It's funny, I actually did a song over this beat awhile back. :sweating:

I liked the song, obviously the beat is great. All the verses were solid and I think I enjoyed Sentus's the most even though his quality was noticeably worse. I didn't really like the chorus. The lyrics were good but it just sounded to monotone for me.

I remember hearing this a while back, I even have an old song ft tash on this haha....

first guy needs more emotion. you somewhat drag on some of your words...You got much better half way in.

Some of the words seem random, then you also have greatly impactful words.
Analyze every thing, then practice your verse more before you spit.
Work on How a word should be said to emphasize certain points of the song more.

I didn't Love the chorus...But it worked..you need more energy Chambers. id like to hear that side of you.

i know that the type of song it is , more so required a mellower tone..... <<--LOL @ how i said that & mellower probably aint a word. but w/e lol

Your verse was good, in terms of writing...but you did come off a little Bored in the recording.

Ddubs you got to work on your delivery. You need to show more confidence. I'm not sure if its because your quality isn't great. But Writing seems on par. just need some more mic time.

Great collab guys you all did great, though I think Daren had the best verse/performance.

Class, you're definitely improving with your breath control, so keep it up.

Chambers, I didn't catch any flaws in your verse, but you sounded kinda bored on the hook.

Sentus, I hated how you dragged your flow for rhymes. And you had to stretch words all over the verse to fit the flow. It was a great verse written but it wasn't that good over audio. Tom Chambers' hook was okay, I can't hate but it wasn't that good. It was well written though. His verse was the best to me, I really enjoyed it. The flow was effortlessly smooth. D. Dubs your flow was good and I loved all your internals and multies which added to the flow. There's no complaints for your verse either, you did pretty good. Overall pretty good track, but Sentus dragged it down a little merely due to flow issues.
