Spyder - Set Fire to Rain

I was eager dreamin close in your arms
But that evil being wasn’t exposin her heart
I know that its hard, you gotta take a risk
But you break it quick, it’s just the way you live
No changing it
But tell me, was it really me that made you split?
I met you broken down, I made you rise
You crave to fly and I gave you skies,
But the change of tides, did u plan the shit?
After smooth sailin you abandoned ship…
Thought I handled it, but you know I cant forget
How I gave you my all and you ran and split.
The damage is, more than you could fathom
Now I see people like us, I just laugh at em.
How could I let that happen? Well never again
Honestly right now, I think ud look better dead.
Just bein honest, something you never did
And when I think about, I start to feel better then…
Again and again, you ruined my life
So if you’ve moved on to new dude then its fine.
Ruin his mind, you came to me stressed
Now you’re the reason for the pain in my chest.

After four years I hang my head in defeat
I mean everything that’s been said on this beat
You wreckin my dreams, I cant shut my eyes
Without seein you, you touched my life.
But fuck if I, lay down trampled and done
It got so bad, I never planned to succumb,
Damn it you won, I still hate your ass
Grab our picture smash it and break the glass.
Everything was nice when I take your hand
When my knees shake you would make me stand.
Tell me whats change ive stayed the same
All the good in you I paved the way.
Day to day we would crave the chase
But you went and just fuckin changed your pace.
But I moved on, been in denial for years
I set fire to rain and dried all my tears,
Thoughts eased as my mind it veers
And I get past some of my wildest fears,
Hear I was thinkin I was cursed and doomed
I didn’t wanna hear the words, were through.
I got over pain in a verse or two
But I hope that it hurt much worse for you.

Not bad man, lyrically it's all there, you're getting better with each audio drop. Pretty good mic. presence although I think it would sound better if you were a bit louder, but I like the relaxed flow. Oddly enough though I think some dubs may be a tad loud or off place. Keep at it man, practice makes perfect!

Nice cover lol

the mixing is hmm, I dont know if you do that on purpose, (dont think you did) but the low freqs of your vocals are gone lmao... doesnt sound bad, but sometimes you might want it exactly the other way around. Your flow is getting better, def an improvement from your last, but what messes around is your layovers, all of them, And I mean ALL of them are out of place or too loud so u have to put extra attention to that.

big big improvement, keep it up man :y:

thanks Guta your alive :worship: :o

and thanks Ax man :worship:
on the low frequencies, idk i turn all of them up, do i need to turn my Low higher than Mid and High... i think that would sound awkward. i raise them all equally.

and layovers. idk bout this either, when i listen the match up perfectly... and i turn those to the same volume as the main vocals, should they be lower? i dont see how you would hear them if the were though.

idk please get back to me about those points cause i am novice to mixing and would love advice :y:

well hahahahahha, first, the frequency, you never raise them all equally because well, thats kind of a dumb eq lol, never raise them equally, just raise the ones you want to boost and attenuate the ones you want to shadow. very easy, depends on how you want to sound, me for example, I do a very gentle high cut, and maybe a mid gentle boost.

as for the layovers, yes, of course they have to be lower than the verse, that is very important. the have to be very low. and on this verse, yes, most of them are out of sync, so they sound out of place. so yes, its important that they are low, and that you controll how loud you would like them with the simple raising of your voice, but always keep them at least 1.5db less than your verse (depends on what program you are using to mix).

start out with that and see how you go :y:

takin a listen

beat is cool

quality is decent...lyrics are decent for the song

the delivery needs work..you just don't sound confident when you connect rhymes together..it's really the only flaw of this song...the doubles are a little off as well

flow was pretty good, just work on ur voice and delivery and you'll keep gettin better..

RTF if u get the chance, track is called RANSOM

While u have improved alot since i listen last but you still have to keep improving your flow, and riding beats better. You not taking on the beat like you could, leaving a lot to be desired. Also you sound like your reading, to reciting the lyrics. All things that will come with more and more practice. Your a good writer so keep at it, it will all come together if you take the criticism and use it for you next drop.
