[Verse 1: Eedee]
My face is a still frame...
Why am I still playing?
Sick of your ill ways...
Can't you see that I'm in pain?
I know we don't talk a lot but every time we do
feels like I'm trapped inside a fucking box.
I stalk, I walk the honest path,
motherfucker, calm your ass.
God damn it babe, what you did to me,
hurts worse than a first birth.
And what it is to see me begging with you to come back to me,
Instead you look up and bend your knees.
Will you ever breathe without hurting me to kingdom come?
You're my angel, and your will will be done.
Now every time my phone rings I think of you,
It chills me through and then it kills me too.
Moonshine, remember that nickname?
It kills me, cuz now I can't think straight.
I'm in a drunken state, man fuck this pain,
I feel this shit and it's underway.
Remember when we'd go outside?
Sit on the swing, now my heart's down-sized,
And my tears roll down and now my mouth's wide...

[Chorus: Mike Murdoch]
And I scream why...
Why did it have to end...?
With my heart broken, am I...
Just another old boyfriend?
That you claimed to never love...

[Verse 2: Eedee]
You got a boyfriend now, isn't that great?
Wait. I don't know where to go from here. This. Is... shit.
Look at me, my eyes all swoll,
I don't really know but time does toll.
It took it's toll on my body whole,
Fuck this man it's time to stroll
Away from my coffin, watch it collect dust,
Where's the God you said would protect us?
Did you lie? I don't know but we'll see in time,
I try to wipe my eyes so I can keep my pride.
I'm bleeding twice, once for every time you fucking squeezed my life away
And Jordan... I've been hording these feelings back
Need to go forward it's time to say,
That my heart still beats for you, it kills me,
Will we ever see the light of day, but still we
go back and forth, you're across the country,
and just like that you thought you loved me?
I see that fucking smirk, think it's awfully funny?
Baby I got the money to come see you.
And I would because I still love you...

[Chorus]

[Verse 3: Eedee]
Everything I ever do will come back to this so...
It's no joke that my heart beats for you...
Baby won't you see me through?
Even though you feed me loops?
And you keep me hooked and by the looks of it, girl...

[Bridge: Mike Murdoch]
And I... I still love you, why...
Do I keep these feelings inside?
And tell everyone I'm fine, am I... still alive?

[Chorus]

Honestly, your rhyming is way too elementary on this track just like all your other songs, you need to step your pen game up... just kidding.

Lyrics were dope. You definitely painted a picture with them that is able to pull the listener into your emotions. "Sit on the swing, now my heart's down-sized,
And my tears roll down and now my mouth's wide..." - That line paints a really good picture IMO.

Flow.. Wow! You changed your flow up a lot on this track but it worked together really good. The best flow I've heard from you I think...

Delivery - It is one thing to write lyrics that are able to paint a picture and another thing to say the lyrics properly to convey your emotional state in the song. You did this really well. I don't think you could have done this better actually.

Chorus - This was sick and a big step up from the rough draft you initially sent me. Demaz did a great job mixing the whole track, especially the chorus. It sounds like something that was already on the beat when you downloaded it, not something that you recorded yourself in your own studio. It fits the beat really well.

Overall, this is one of you best tracks IMO. Keep it up, I'm pumped to hear the whole mixtape :y:

@ Triple - Thanks, yo! I appreciate the good looks.

@ Geno - Thanks for the feed!! Yeah, sometimes you gotta sacrifice rhymes for what you wanna go for. As much as I go for rhyming my ass off, I felt it's best to just let it all out there and say what I wanna say. And yeah, Mike did a great job on the singing. I love that guy haha

a track full of emotions i liked the lyrics and delivery but the flow slipped here and there it wasnt clear, and the hook is dope...i think you could have done it better if you fixed the sentences to have a clear flow and not rushed like at some parts of the song but i like the song good job

Contrary to what the majority of people have been saying, the fact that your flow isn't the same throughout the track makes it sound better imo. I still think it is steady in regard to the beat

Lol thanks Triple. I think at times the spastic flow helps show the disarray.

Haha I could have sworn this said produced by Demaz yesterday. I was like holyshit.

Anyway, first, the mixing is too low. You should have had your volume turned up more.

Your delivery is better than I remember. It sounds more like a good rap delivery and less like Ice Killa.

I'm glad you're actually trying to mix up your flows, but you fucked it up a couple times. Like people have said you had way too many syllables and it messed it up. First example I noticed was "I feel like I'm trapped inside a fuckin box." There were others after also.

Your lyrics were good. Nothing mind-blowing but they accomplished what you intended them to. Your best bar was the collect dust/protect us lines. I'm not sure what it was but the flow of the those lines coupled with the way you delivered them made them sound awesome. You need to try and hit lines like those more.

Your friend is awesome on hooks, you should be lucky to have somehow that can sing. That's my problem atm.

Also, never say her name in the song. If this is all made up that's fine but if it's real then keep actual names out of it. Trust me.

youve stepped up man, basically just agreeing with others.

your flow has improved though it seems like your voice is still a little weird. need some emphases on certain parts and it leaves me wanting a little more from your voice, if that makes sense?

i didnt have a problem with the mixing, nothing amazing but i thought the volume and all that was fine.

lyrics were ok, i didnt feel captivated in the story telling but they werent bad.

and again, dudes amazing on the hook

Your songs sound more and more professional with each track. This was good man, the writing was different on this but I think it suited the song style. What I mean is with the ryhme placement not always being at the end of the bar, like it usually is. Mike killed this hook, easily his best work in my opinion. Your voice is sounding better too, I don't know if it's the mixing or not but it sounds a bit deeper/more experienced. It sounds cool haha.

Okay.. A lot of people have been saying that Eedee goes off beat on the song. I just listened extremely closely to see if I could hear it and if I was missing something. He does change his flow up multiple times on each verse but not once does he go off beat. The way that it's structured actually makes it flow BETTER than if he kept a basic flow by rhyming strictly on snare claps and no where else. If you can hear him being off beat, please post where.. I'm interested to know.

I really liked this dude! I'm not really new to the forum but I don't post much so we don't know each other but I really thought it was good!

First off, loved the production, thought that the instrumental in the background along with the drums really fit the kind of hardened, yet aggressive, yet toned-down persona and message you were trying to convey, definitely props to that.

The chorus had a vague tone to it, one that was fairly ambiguous but at the same time really fit the melody of the whole song - sounded a bit too "rocky" for me, like some Paramore type stuff but thought that the lyrics of the chorus certainly fit that; merely the way the guy said some words through me off but it fit well.

As for your verses, I loved the mixing and mastering, great quality on it. The flow was hard to get used to hearing you for the first time and sounded at times as Geno said that the flow was rushed at certain points. In particular I loved the section in the first verse

Moonshine, remember that nickname?
It kills me, cuz now I can't think straight.
I'm in a drunken state, man fuck this pain,
I feel this shit and it's underway.

Thought that seemed really heartfelt to bring the whole nickname and drunken state thing in, sounded really awesome. Only thing I can criticize as far as verses was the last few bars of the 2nd verse, was expecting something big out of your last few lines of your last verse (excluding bridge) and was expecting y'know, a crazy rhyme or intimate moment and while you did bring the latter I thought the monosyllalabic rhyme didn't quite fit the whole song since you rhymed 2+ practically the whole song, so don't save the 1 for the last two!

Overall really good job man, really enjoyed it and you did a great job. :)

+1

Plus, in all honesty, the song is easier to relate to when specific names are left out of relationship songs.
