G Lightning - Victory

Postby Glightning » Sep 30th, '13, 03:22

Hey guys, I got a new song I'd like for you to check out. I'm thinking about doing it for my school talent show but I want to know if you guys think its worthy. Appreciate all feedback and I will be sure to do the same for your songs if there on here.

Whew, Rock it pro rocks, nahimean? I love this beat/hook. He always comes through.

The flow was a bit awkward, not as smooth as it could've been. But it seems you have the basics down.

Quality wasn't the best, not the worst either. Your vocals felt drowned out by the beat until a few bars in then you magically get higher volumed haha.

Lyrics/content were solid. Just your typical victory song. Nothing to knock.

I liked the flo... waa like gorillaz.. i fuck with them...
The problem with it, and alot of people on this board is tonality, and rythm. You have to sound different, rememberable, and knpw how to rap. Rap isnt all about rhyming. The beat is not your backup, its apart of the song. Remember that, you have to compliment the beat so it compliments you back.

You seem to have a sense of flow, but the execution is riddled with monotony.
I think this might be because the quality. The all around mix/master needs work.

The more you record and experiment with the software, the better you will get.
