I have a lot of people in real life spreading it around and whatnot too.

And thanks man. Appreciate it. It'll be out on Amazon on the 15th. :y:

I have no control over iTunes/Amazon pricing.

Bandcamp is $8. ;)

Atlas is powerful.
It's probably one of the best beats I've made.

Will feed this in extreme detail soon.

I started typing up the feed on the train.

Typing? How? Did you get a laptop?

Also, DGAF set the bar high for detailed feed. Lol

ME
track is nice little intro, the beat is kinda underwhelming but im getting that this is simply an intro track so i dont let that weigh heavily. lyrics were nice, kind of along the lines of your usual work. i like the overlays and mixing on this one.

TO YOU
first starting off the flow is a little off. some of the lines are meant to be drug out to hit the beat and it doesnt. going forward :shifty: i like the hook, i like the content of the second verse about some of the feed you get. flow still slips a bit but not huge. rest of the track finish well. beat is pretty nice. similar to the last one, hoping the beats get more diversity along the way

THE DREAM
liking the slight difference of the beat, still that uplifting style though. flow is a bit more complex on this one so that good. delivery is nice, pushes corny at some of the yelling but not too bad. the hooks are kinda getting repetitive, echoed overlays of a talking type hook, id like to see more diversity in those as well. track is lyrically fine.

CHASM
beat is alot different thats good. flow is really good to start off, mixes up from the previous tracks. hook is decent, the bridge or "afterhook" was nice. lyrics and delivery weren't anything special on this one. along the lines of presence and par of the other tracks. beat is nice, again nothing special.

ATLAS
feelin this beat, not hugely different but for some reason this is my favorite yet. flow is a bit sped up so its cool to mix that up. hook sounds the same as the other, im hoping for a singing hook coming up. lyrics and all that are nice on this one. perhaps my fave so far. one thing i noticed is you use the phrase "kiss my ass" alot... idk just mix it up lol

HOW THE HEART SHRINKS
drums are nice on this but the melody seems quite to me. lyrics are personal so they dope on this. again hook. nothing really more to say on this one. really heartfelt

IF ONLY SHE KNEW
ok i got my singing hook, and sorry to say im not feeling that, but i do applaud you for answering my request haha. having two tracks about women back to back was kinda weird, should have ordered them differently.

MIRAGE
i think i fed this in the other thread.

FOOTSTEPS ON THE BEACH
mmmmmmmm this beat, like a cross between Stairway to Heaven and a Metallica song. flow slipped up in the first couple of lines, but it picks up in complexity and you get the feel. lack of hook was the perfect move on this one, just let the beat sing. favorite so far.

BUTTERFLIES
the use of the word butterflies to start off is annoying a bit. the rest of of the content and everything is just kinda mediocre. this one is just kinda there for me.

GET THROUGH
beat is a little too slow for me. hook singing again isnt that great, though better than the last singing one. lyrics and topic matter seem overdone on this LP. really all i can say on this one.

I WANT IT
fed in other thread

SIX FEET UNDER AND ABOVE
much darker feel, nice mix from the rest of the album. odd that DGAF did that intro. track seems like your just talking... idk just weird to me. delivery on this one was boring, but thats cause of what you were doing with the flow.

CROWDED HALLWAYS
that penguin line... no lol. good flow and delivery, nice mixing. beat is decent, hook is kinda too much. decent closing track for the album though.

in all, i wish youd mix the feel of it up a little more. you dont really switch your delivery at all, the flow changes a smidge but nothing major. and the majority of the beats sound very similar. in all though it was a good album son. just take some time to come up with more diverse topics. keep puttin in work son.

Nice feed, Spyder. I don't want to argue but there's a reason there's some repetitive topics. It has to do with the whole album concept + first track thesis. I could elaborate if you want, but for the sake of trying not to sound like a defensive douche, I'll let you make the call lol

Cheers for taking the time to write it up and listen. :y:

Nah I figured you wanted a themed album, and with that you succeeded.

Well the theme was "Me", the intro song, was a thesis. Outlining three important events for me. And the rest of the album branches out from there.

First verse = space/nature = Our Place/Footsteps
Second verse = break up = How The Heart Shrinks
Third verse = school/travel/the dream/parents = The Dream

The rest of the tracks branch out from there, albeit not in order, but once you listen through and think back to each song's theme, you might make the connection that hey, "Me" was the central thesis at the beginning, and each theme presented branched off into more themes in the reactionary way. (Second verse break up -> How The Heart Shrinks (events/first reactions) -> Atlas (becoming stronger) -> Get Through (kind of getting closure).

Then I close at the last theme: moving on; Going Forward, the content and theme branched out from the third verse of Me.

I wished someone noticed before I explained it lol

So in short: Me's the thesis, other songs branched out thematically in reactionary ways.
