*New* Front and Center

Postby Makaveli525 » Jun 18th, '08, 00:57

Well Mak is back.

And hopefully not *too* wack...

I got a new track.... mic quality sucks, I knew that.

I'm basically looking for feedback on flow, lyrics, delivery, etc... don't judge by the terrible quality... I'm saving for a new mic... thanks to anyone who cares to listen and feed.

Not bad at all. BEsides the quality, I think you sounded out of breathe at times or catching up a little, I thought the song was good, rhymes were good, love that beat btw, and overall i mean I think if you put just a little something more, sound a little more mad or whatever you'd have an overall solid track. good work :y:

flow was solid. rhymes also solid. does sound like your dying for breath and sounds like you had to record half the verse and then half on another track lol. try your best to not do that unless youre verrrrry good at matching your own voice.

overally, quality sucked, you know that tho. but it was good, you sounded a bit lacking in the emotion/delivery department but that can easily be fixed. keep working, good job. :y:

I didn't do a separate track because i ran out of breath... i did one verse then decided to add another because it was too short lol

But yeah I see what you're saying... i run out of breath too often... and my emotion/delivery needs work as well

Mak will work on all these things.. and report back to you with a new track eventually...

And hopefully a new mic... can anyone recommend something good but relatively cheap? I'm broke as hell

I kinda agree with Kosovic, except i can stand to listen to it.

I think if you actually used techniques to mix it you could get a better result than on this song.

As for the track:
Lyrics are decent
Flow is alright, slips off a few times
Your delivery isn't very good, you've got the same thing i had when i started out; it's like you're imitating a song, not fully using your voice. Hard to describe.
Quality obviously aint very good
And the beat is good for what it is but i never like using official beats much, cause it means you've got to beat the standard they originally set on it.

But keep working on it and you'll improve
Maybe send a raw acapella to someone who can mix well
