Verse 1
Patience is a virtue, anxiety’s a plague,
I can’t see straight cuz the world is so vague.
Searching for a light, we look up to a higher power,
But the only time we see Him is in the world’s final hour.
Critical debility of natural ability,
How can one function in this world of negativity.
Every possibility I use my agility,
And avoid hostility, that’s nobility.
So chivalrous, who will deliver us?
From this ignorance, malevolent belligerence.
Is it only through repentance that we gain admittance?
Or in the court of God is everyone defendants?
Will the world end, are we slated for destruction?
Will the ozone disappear from forest deconstruction?
Will fire rain down from volcanic eruptions?
Will the world turn to greed from govt. corruption?
I’m truly seekin answers, I aint searchin for pity.
If I wanted some of that , I wouldn’t be standin here spitting,
I’m admitting, the term Requiem’s now kinda fitting,
But it’s Stereo-Type, and if the world’s ending….
Chorus
Till I breathe my very last breath,
Till my heart gives out and I succumb to death.
If all that’s left in the world is a mic,
I’ll grip it tight, and rhyme through the night.
Till fire rains down from the sky on metropolis,
I’ll keep rhyming throughout the apocalypse.
If the words on my lips are all that I got,
One shot, I’ll spit till my heartbeat stops.
Verse 2
I can see the world crumbling, the kingdom has come,
I can hear the drums, but I don’t dare run.
I stand there stunned, my blood’s gone numb.
The sound of the guns, look at what we’ve done
Our very foundation, our own vitality
Has become our enemy, so has morality.
Realization of our human mortality,
Has led us into this truant mentality.
and I aint gonna stand for no passive aggressive,
fake hidden general subliminal message.
Some have a fetish for the world’s last visage,
But I’d rather die than live to see the image.
People are pessimistic like they hide out in shells,
Patiently waiting for the year 2012.
Let me tackle this touchy subject in which I’m about to delve,
If they don’t believe in a twenty thirteen then let them rot in hell.
I’ve said it once before, don’t make me repeat myself,
I’d rather die trying than live to see us fail.
The final gale, a fiery veil, how can we prevail?
If only we learned to respect ourselves, and not leave the world so frail.
btw, Requiem's answer will be coming soon...
