how would you guys feel about a weekly competition ?

nothing major right, basically ill run it, it will be help sunday to satarday.


by example, this sunday ill pick 5 songs ( and it will be 5 songs per week from then on) and put them up in a thread with links to the songs, and members can vote during the week on satarday the voting is closed and obviously the winner will be the guy with most votes.

i think 5 is a reasonable number, we always have atleast 5 new songs a week from members.

i like the idea i think it would add a little more activity and competition to the audio stage, and anyone could win, because your not making tracks specificially for a compeition there just getting picked if you happened to release a song that week.

its just fun no prizes and for activity and obviously more feed as normal members who dont check the audio stage will probably check if they know its the 5 best songs of that week and not alot of newcomers who they dont want to give feedback to.

thoughts ? if enough people like the idea ill start picking the 5 songs for the first comp.

have you thought about categorizing it like, emotional, hyper or educational rap.<each person would submit a song based on the category and whoever has the best/most efficient wins. it would be suited for an artist. Your idea is also good, no hate.

in the past idea like this have blown about, fact is man, recording time, organizing, member participation, deadlines ect. always make them fall apart..most guys on this forum like to get along with there music at there own pace, thats why i think just picking tracks from that week would be a good way to do it, then its just a weekly contest for fun and nothing to take to seriously.

Bar, your idea is very good. Cuz I'm always mixed up with the constant tracks posted everyday. It's good to have top 5 songs per week man so that I can see the highlights.

yup exactly the idea of this, at first i was goin to just propose 5 tracks id highlight each week, the leting people vote just adds a little spice to it and may want people to push a little harder.

i could try hussle something with sajn if this takes off were each week the top voted track on satarday gets a little mention or feature in a main section, we shall see
