D12 Without Eminem

Postby Mr.P » Oct 14th, '09, 15:59

Do you think D12 ever could have made it without Em? (Not as a group) Let’s say they never met, and all of them recorded a solo EP and sent it to a record label. Which of them do you think would have gotten a record deal as a solo artist?

Bizarre: Wouldn’t have a chance
Proof: Maybe, his LP was pretty decent
Swift: Maybe, he spits fire sometimes
Kuniva: Not really, imo he`s to average
Mr. Porter: He makes great hooks and has some nice verses. I think he would have a pretty good chance.

But that’s just me, post your thoughts on it :flower:

People used to say that Proof was going to get a deal before Em, he had offers before Marshall ever did, but they all fell through, but apparantly people thought it was just a matter of time. But obviously when Em made Shady Records, that was his first option.

I think Swift would be doing alright, he's fire, but doesn't seem much of a solo artist.

Kuniva wouldn't make it past just street mixtapes.

Biz would have no chance.

Mr Porter would do alright as an artist, but he's a sick producer, so i think he woulda gone in to that area more.

And as i mentioned with Proof, he was mad respected in Detroit, and obviously brought the fire on Searching for Jerry Garcia..
My Top 5 (in no order)-

Eminem

Biggie Smalls

None of em would be superstars but proof probly would get signed by some underground label, and just be a dope underground MC. mr. porter probly wouldnt of got that far, because he wasnt even that good of a producer til em hooked up with dre then they both made mr. porter into the producer he is today. swifty maybe, bizzare would be possible only because of the sick shit he says

Kon artis said in that interview that Dre bought some of his beats when he first met him.. So i'm sure he knew his way around the studio.

yeah im sure he knew his way around the studio, but he has said in interviews that em and dre really showed him how to make certain beats for certain artists, and that dre taught him a bunch of shit when they first hooked up. but yea he would still probably b a really dope underground producer
