ROTD2 Freestyles - Ranking

Postby tadpole25 » May 28th, '12, 02:11

I ranked the lyricists in order (as well as the songs).

On Fire
1. Kuniva (his verse is amazing, the second half was the best part of the mixtape)
2. Fuzz (i know a lot of people hated this verse, but i loved it)
3. Bizarre (funny, shock value as usual. his flow didn't suck)
4. Swifty (good as usual, but doesn't stand out)

I Go Off
1. Bizarre (one of his best flows, i liked the bomb part)
2. Swifty
3. Kuniva

Killzone
1. Swifty (great flow and multis)
2. Kuniva (did great here as well)
3. Bizarre (weak punchlines)

Canon
1. Fuzz
2. Swifty (consistenly good as usual)
3. Kuniva
4. Bizarre (terrible, and that says alot)

Outro (beat didn't work well for 3 of them)
1. Swifty (he kills this one)
2. Fuzz (good verse, but not a great way to close an album)
3. Kuniva (the amount of syllables in his bars were too uneven)
4. Bizarre (dead last place, terrible verse)
"I take yall diss as endearment - I love it when I hear it
Maybe words offensive - free speech I don't fear it
Maybe music can take us to a place so atmospheric
Beyond our greatest imagination, illuminatin' experience
If we open our ears and close our inhibitions, it's clear"

Rex.

Sorry, there's no justification for how bad Bizzy's Killzone verse is.

Listened to Kuniva's Canon verse again just now. It had some weak parts, but overall it was AWESOME.

But his On Fire verse was the highlight of the mixtape, even better than Eminem's verses on On Fire. His final line "How much filth can fit in one booth / There's only one D12 only one proof / Till you sell 8 mill / We are that group" would have been a perfect way to end the album instead of "All the girls on facebook requestin they wanna be friends".

You're right. Kuniva goes hard the entire mixtape.
