Slaughterhouse Commercial Success?

There's no doubting Slaughterhouse's lyrical prowess, but as far as Shady Records goes, it's a bussiness. All members of Slaughterhouse have showed some sort of commercial power, but not to a substancial level, the best position a Royce single has is #66 on the US R&B Charts (You Can't Touch Me) and even his record with em (Rock City) only reached #99 on the same Charts a year later. This being 9 years ago, the closest Royce has got to a "Mainstream" track, is "My Own Planet (ft. Mr. Porter)" although i put it down to Mr. Porters Hook:

Next member: Joe Budden
There's no doubt that at one point Budden was pretty Mainstream, Releasing songs such as "Pump it up" and "Fire (ft. Busta Rhymes)", Pump it up reaching #38 on the US BillBoard 100, #16 on the US R&B Charts, and #13 on the UK Singles Charts.

With a bumpy career being thrown from post to post, Crooked hasn't really had a chance to show us what he can do with a single, but has recieved a pretty good amount of success with his weekly freestyles and there are a few tracks which show him as someone with potential to be a commercial artist such as "Big Dreams (ft. Last member: Joell Ortiz
Now i'm not too familiar with Joell Ortiz's work, i've listen to Royce, Budden & Crooked all as solo artists, and i do enjoy Joell's work, but i can't really find anything to suggest that he can make it as a successful selling artist apart from within the rap community.

Slaughterhouse:Slaughterhouse as a group are impressive with their constant battle of lyrical power and wit but i don't feel they have much to offer Shady Records from a bussiness stand-point, they certainly sell to people who enjoy the rap genre, but as a part of the mainstream community, i'm not sure they can do it as a group, they just don't seem to gel as a group and i see their songs as more of a battle than a group effort to make music that will sell, maybe this will change under Shady Records, While Em & Dre were taking 50 cent under their wing, he became a much better Mainstream selling artist, even though i can see from his old work he was a top class hook writer, I also feel that at the time Obie Trice was successful and would've enjoyed bigger sales if he was not so overshadowed by 50 cent's success at the time.

All in all i feel that Slaughterhouse will not sell as big as they deserve as a hiphop group, due to the fact that they don't gel well enough together as a mainstream selling group. And when i use the term "mainstream" i mean it in a way that is not selling out to what they do, but as in selling a substantial amount of records, Album: 500k+ and singles 20kk+, i just don't feel they could hit those targets, but, i may be proved wrong, i hope i'm proved wrong, and wish Slaughterhouse all the success they deserve under Shady Records!
