Rex knows pimpin may not be easy, but giving back can be much easier.
For Curtis Jackson and David Brown, better known as hip-hop artists 50 Cent and Young Buck, giving back to the community is easier than spittin mad rhymes.
The two rappers recently donated $20,000 to the Nashville Alliance for Public Education through their charitable foundation the G-Unit Foundation.
This is not the first time the two have given props to Metro Nashville Public Schools. The Alliance received a grant last year through the same foundation for $25,000.
The grant money will help fund the AVID, or Advancement Via Individual Determination, program in local high schools.
The program helps underachieving students gain the skills necessary to attend college.
Alliance executive director Kay Simmons said Young Buck supports the program because it helps at-risk kids stay in school and become successful.
