Joe Buddens In Talk With Shady Records

Undisclosed sources close to Shady Records have revealed that Eminem's label is in talks of signing Jersey City, New Jersey rapper Joe Budden. The move might be shocking to some, as Budden is remembered for lyrically sparring with then-Shady-related artists in the past such as 50 Cent and The Game.
With the release of his Mood Muzik 3 at the close of 2007, Budden attacked Def Jam and its then-president Jay-Z for holding the rapper's career back. Subsequently, Budden was released from contract after being since to the label for over six years shortly before Jay-Z left. Despite three acclaimed mixtapes, the aforementioned last of which will be sold in retail stores through Amalgam Entertainment, Budden has not released an album since 2003's self-titled release which reached gold status.
If a deal does go through with Shady, Budden will be an established label acquisition, joining 50 Cent and The Alchemist. In the past, Shady had courted signing both Mobb Deep and Pharoahe Monch, but failed to reach agreement. Talks of the deal will likely be halted to yesterday's reported hospitalization of Eminem.

Even if he does get signed I don't think its going make a great impact. There's some artists on the label which you never hear from and bringing in another artist won't do anygood imo.

its not official its really really thin..like really thin, even when joe buddens was asked about it he barely knew what the guy was talking about, once there a little more strength to the story itll be there

The self proclaimed of King of New Jersey, Joe Budden, a part of Eminem's Shady Records?
That juicy rumor has been circulating the internet the past few weeks placing Budden on the same record label that rappers such as Obie Trice, D12 and Cashis call home.
Budden revealed to Sixshot.com today (January 15) that the rumor of him signing to Shady Records is just that.
“Yeah, that’s a rumor” Budden told Sixshot.com.
When asked whether anyone from Shady had tried to contact him, Budden replied: “I’m not going to say that, but far as me being in heavy talks with them....no. As far as us being close to closing a deal....no”.
Budden severed ties with Def Jam Records last year after the constant delay of his sophomore album, The Growth.
Budden will be releasing an album version of his mixtape Mood Music 3 with No DJ titled Mood Muzik 3.5 on February 28th via Amalgam Digital. The disc will also include the video for his single “Star Inside of Me”.

If it is true, Shady should be focusing on his existing artists first, before signing anyone new. I mean, who'd want to just sign and be at the back of the queue for Shady records. Stat Quo'll tell you, it's not the best move.
