The quality is medium because the bitrates of the songs range from only 250-275kbps. I imagine the 320kbps mixing to be a lot more clear.

"Our House" really blew me away, didn't expect such a powerful song from the group. Having "The Slaughter" as the intro made it even better, flowed together so smoothly, like peanut butter and jelly.

I just wish their production didn't take such a mainstream turn, they could have rapped over easy, simple beats like how they did over "Asylum" (keeping the production for "Our House" the same, of course).

The whole album is just brilliant, I can hardly pick a stand out bad song...
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone and the lights go out in that trailer park?

I disagree.

I can't choose to take the sound of something too seriously if it intuitively sounds enjoyable, memorable or good to me. I can't 'turn off' enjoyment.

When I hear something which is good, exciting or positive in any way to me, it's obvious, I don't need to analyze it. I can't be unsure about something that's just awesome, or good even.

If it's good, it's good. And if it's bad, it's bad. But let's not be afraid to say when something is bad, sloppy or disappointing either, as I'm not somebody that goes out of their way to be negative; I WANT to like it, I want to hear some classic hip-hop; some days I can barely be bothered to breathe, so I certainly couldn't be bothered to pick something apart I was enjoying like I wasn't.

Bottom line is; this album is okay. The production and quality of rapping is pretty coherent but it's noisy, messy and there's nothing really memorable about it. That's just how I feel hearing it, if it was just good or enjoyable, I wouldn't need to say that, as I'd just be enjoying it.

I think this album is amazing, I love it.

Basically.

I wasn't expecting anything MIND-BLOWING, genre-changing...I just expected enjoyable, dope music with good lyricism and banging beats and I got what I wanted.

Our House lyrics. Like two parts of Em's verse I couldn't understand so I did what I could.

Crooked I on Frat House >>>>>

But I wanted some more "Mokingbird" type of songs on this. Some sad shit
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

Agree. Album is all production / tryin to be mainstream , i.e. Bullshit.

They're just making the same shit everybody else is making.

Yep.

It's quite sad now when, I don't see anybody in the mainstream apart from maybe Kanye (who just creates his own lanes or does it in such a way that it's very unique and authentic) - who is making genuinely authentic, grass-roots hip-hop.

Everybody is tacking on hooks, substituting 'daddy talk' for substance; cash for concepts; women for worthwhile and big for better. When did classics stop getting made...
