I definitely hope for an Em beat & a feature... it won't feel like a Shady album if it wasn't for that.

I think (well, hope) Em is always ready to listen to the album and find a song he wants to fit on. I'm especially excited for MMLP2 Em and modern Yela - they're both in fucking incredible creative zones right now.
I'd also love a Yela/Kendrick collaboration. It would really show off Yela's talent to new audiences and give him attention he deserves and I think he can easily keep up with Kendrick on every level: creativity, flow, rhymes, content, delivery etc.

That's exactly what I hope for & am exited about too...

Aside from DJ Pauls mixing on everything he and Yela have done has been fucking awful. Hopefully they have more ears playing with it.

Nah.. Mastermind and Light Switch is classic. That instrumentals on Bowties and Party Prophet were great too.

But Get Straight was a fucking mess. That's 4/5 tho

Anyways, I'm sure he's just adding a few layers of trap-esque drums to some of Malay's production, to give it a sense of urgency and feel.
I hope I'm right though, would hate for this to turn into a trap album like Black Fall was


EDIT: shit CP.. You were talking about the mixing.. Really tho? Its been meh, listenable (unlike Heart of Dixie), but it could be a lottt better. Paul did an alright mixing Black Fall. I was worried when I first heard Go Hard, because that was complete and utter vomit-inducing mixing But I'm sure Paul won't have any goddamn say when it comes to mixing LS.

No, I don't think so. Willpower did the final mixes of Box Chevy 5 recently. I think he'll do that with the other songs too.

I was thinking that it'll probably go through him last. I don't know if Em will have his hand in the mixing at all this time though, since it almost feels like they're just using Shady Records as a distributor this time.

Shady Records is still a hell of a lot less involved in this, which I think is fantastic from a musical standpoint.

I hate Shady Records. They need to get their shit together... It's not 2006 anymore Em.

Unfortunately I think they still think that Eminem's name alone can carry an album like it did for Obie way back.
