I find that pretty good for a "typical rapper begging for fame" type of song.
Maybe it is good for a typical rapper but aren't we talk about Slaughterhouse raising the bar and making an all time top 10 classic? Keeping that in mind, it's crap. I almost went crazy in that instant when I read that someone think The One is worse than this shit. The One is at least funny with witty jokes at celebrities, but okay, you can argue that I'm wrong because it is a question of taste.
But if any of you actually think that
the lyrics of Throw It Away is Slaughterhouse raising the bar then we really consider dope in different ways...
And I'm tired of people constantly comparing SH to lame rappers and argue that their lame shit isn't as lame. Is it an excuse that it could be worse? Someone even mentioned that if we don't start supporting Slaughterhouse, we can forget about mainstream rap with lyricism cause labels won't support groups like SH. Say what?
If Throw It Away is lyricism in mainstream then I don't even want no lyricism anymore. And for the record: I never wanted Slaughterhouse to make mainstream records. I want them to make dope songs with raw lyricism and punchlines that fucks all the competition. Just listen to their Cypher raps, especially Budden's. Then listen to Throw It Away and tell me which one has content. I swear I started to like My Life since this shit came out. They do reverse marketing, each single is worse than the previous one since Hammer Dance and I'm frightened to death what will come next and make me like Throw It Away...
