Could you elaborate? Throw It Away sounds MUCH more like a Slaughterhouse song than My Life does...it has a better beat, better verses, just a better vibe...

Throw It Away isn't their best song but it's grown on me considerably. I can't say the same for My Life. I wanna know what appeals to you on My Life over Throw It Away?

I can say the same about My Life: it's not my favorite SH song but it's grown on me. On the other hand though I don't even listen to Throw It Away. The only thing I can agree on is that the beat of T.I.A. is closer to the beats you'd expect from Slaughterhouse, but I also like My Life musically better.

Better verses on T.I.A.? With those repetitive rhymes? No way! And a better vibe? For me it's clearly My Life. It has that big sound they were talking about and I like that celebratory feeling. And on the other hand I don't like T.I.A. at all.

But my taste of hip-hop must be questionable cause I didn't like Section 80 neither. For me it has little replay value. Free Agent wasn't that great neither but I still liked it more.

Hands On The Wheel - dope
The Recipe - dope

Now let's take a look at recent Slaughterhouse singles:

Hammer Dance - okay
My Life - ehhhhhh
Throw It Away - wack

I listened to these songs and Swimming Pools is kinda dope but my list still would be like this:

Hammer Dance>Swimming Pools=My Life>The Recipe>Hands On The Wheel>Throw It Away

I listened to Kendick Lamar Schoolboy Q Ab-Soul Jay Rock - Black Hippy and I liked it lyrically but I don't like half of the beats. And I'd pick any Black Hippy songs above Throw It Away but anything from Slaughterhouse Self Titled album seemed doper than any song from Black Hippy. I go with SH in this.

Section.80, Control System, and Habits & Contradictions are some of the best hip-hop albums in the last four years. Hell, you could go even further back than that because there haven't been too many amazing hip-hop albums in the 2004-2011 time frame. I would take anything on these albums over anything Slaughterhouse, solo or as a group, has ever produced. However, that's my tastes in music and opinion, but on the other hand Section.80 is one of my most replayed albums, it has dope lyrics, dope beats, deep messages, and was critically acclaimed. It was received by critics, as well, better than anything the Slaughterhouse camp has put out at this time. That's a fact. I also find it insulting to Black Hippy that you put The Recipe, Swimming Pools (Drank) [not a single by the way], and Hands on the Wheel under anything from Welcome to: OUR HOUSE thus far. If you go on rap genius and look up any Kendrick Lamar, Ab-Soul, or Schoolboy Q song since 2009 on rap genius, and even some beyond that, your mind will be blow with how much better they are lyrically than Slaughterhouse. Hell, I could tell they were better without using that site. They are easily better than Slaughterhouse in every aspect and don't have to sacrifice their sound to generate a buzz.

The Recipe - Okey
Swimming Pools - Mehh
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

if you were listening to kendrick before he came up ud be pretty upset with the singles hes droppin too..

The recipe - not the style of hip hop i wanted from kendrick (whole different sound) doesnt even feel like the sound of bringing hip hop back
swimming pools - same thing.. (he just cant talk about partying)

hammer dance - perfect single for the radio
my life - pretty wack.. slaughters not the bragging type
throw it away - the whole general sound is firee if ur not focusing on lyrics

slaughterhouse makes me actually feel like there gonna bring the "general" sound of hip hop back.. (Hammer Dance El-P mix)

both albums will be FIRE tho

to be honest, section.80 was way too slow for me. i like fast(er) paced songs and i didnt care for the beat selection too much. in other news, joell oritiz is also saying that the mixtape is gonna be great

lol @ Hammer Dance being "perfect for the radio." What radio station plays Hammer Dance, exactly?

I knew this was the Stanniest of the Stanniest of message boards, but the lack of respect people have here for non-Eminem related hip hop is too aggravating.

Dismissing Black Hippy & Big K.R.I.T., who are making some of the best hip hop in years without selling out, while praising Slaughterhouse's worst songs where they sell out shamelessly...give me a break, guys.

Some of the most praised hip hop albums in the past five years: TRShady doesn't like it.

Mediocre music co-signed by Eminem: TRShady loves it.

I'm done. You guys have fun jerking each other while listening to whoever happens to be signed to Shady Records at the moment. Your taste in rap sucks.

I ment perfect if there intent was to bring hip hop back.. it doesnt matter if it didnt get radio play.. if they keep feedin them with 2 other singles that sounded the same radios would eventually play them

i wasnt downing kendrick hes my 2nd fav rapper behind joey.. but the sound in his singles is quite obvious hes conforming to a mainstream sound just as much as slaughterhouse is

Thank you!!! And SWIMMING POOLS (DRANK) IS NOT A PARTY TRACK, YOU OBV. DID NOT LISTEN TO THE LYRICS. Y'all pissing me off with tha shit. The Recipe and Swimming Pools (Drank), free song not single even, are doper than most material coming out. Yes, easily Slaughterhouse's. And I never said Section.80 was better as a fact. I said it was more critically acclaimed than any Slaughterhouse , solo and group, album since their careers started.... FACT! I'm with Zabe and Fake on this one. Some people, not all, stanning out on Slaughterhouse.
