This beef thing really made 50 hungry again. People are showing 50 and G-Unit some love after a long time. Hope his album will be fire!
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

50 better come with GOOD music if he's gonna start promoting like this.

LOL @ French's response, priceless

I don't like that guy's music but it's not like he's lying, let's be honest here. 50 beefed himself out of relevance, everybody started looking at him like a bully, and NOBODY likes a bully.

He entered this way aswel, point guns at diddy making death threats etc.

Yeah but when he came out joking on How to Rob, he was joking around. And the beef with Ja Rule actually had some basis in reality so people allowed that.

Piggy Bank was the beginning of the end for him, calling out people for basically no reason, he lost about 75% of his east coast fans for picking that stupid beef with D-Block. I was living in Philly at the time, I knew a ton of folks who stopped fucking with him around then

French is right, apart from the idea of... I mean, every artist goes down, with the exception of say Wayne who sold more eventually, but I always see writers say things like "Michael Jackson's 6th album sold significantly less than his 2nd" it's like... no shit.

Like, when the public are first encapsulated by an artist, they're bound to sell more. Then as they get used to them they'll go down.

But it's not beef that hurt 50, it's his lack of good or original music. His music got worse, and he's one of the least creative rappers ever, his career was built on drama, image, beats and hooks. He was never a great lyricist, great songwriter and never did anything creatively great.

So that's why as soon as the initial buzz of this real life ex-gangster signed by Em and Dre firing shots with crazy production died down, and his life story became secondary... so did his popularity. 50 is just a figure now, he was never an artist, he has a lot to say in real life but almost nothing to say in music, it's a shame he can't merge the two. 50 is mad because French hit a nerve: the truth.

There's alot of artists who lack talent, especially in hip hop, Rick Ross for one and he's doing just fine, so I wouldn't say it's his whackness that made him fall off.

Trust me it his attitude that made people root against him. Beefing with everybody, throwing his money in everyones face and acting like his shit dont stink made people stop fucking with him. And when they did its not like they moved on to a lyrical genius instead, ironically most the people I knew who use to fuck with 50 are Ross fans now, he's just as simple simon as 50 is, the difference being he's alot less of an asshole lol

Oh yeah, his attitude definitely contributed to that, because I felt it too... I remember with the Kanye West thing people hated him, me included. Because he just seemed lke a bully, and I know the KW thing was just a staged mutual thing for sales but outside of that he always has been...

But, I don't think he'd have continued to sell huge numbers regardless of his attitude. I think once the hype and association (Em / Dre) died down, people saw him for what he is, and he's really not that interesting, so his sales simmered down to about where they should be for what he does.
