What is Yelawolf's worst project?

Postby Rafael » Jun 17th, '13, 08:30

I gotta go with Heart of Dixie.

Apart from Be the One, which is probably one of his best songs, and average tracks like Father's Day, Wrap Song and Howdy, I fucking hate that tape.
The mixing was terrible, and the mixtape was filled with overused trap beats and very poor lyrics and flows. Just didn't feel like Yela was trying at all.

Anyways, what do you think is his worst project to date and why?

Heart of dixie was recorded on the tourbus in like one sitting.
the beats were sent to him in mp3s and they were not even made for him.

I like a lot of songs on there.

His worst project for me has to be those old tapes that I dont know the name of right now.

Heart of Dixie ONLY because I can't seem to find a version of it that comes in loud. The ones I found are always so damn quiet sounding?!

Really? Because I want most of that project to disappear from the face of the earth..
Oh well, to each his own.

I also think Pissin' in a Barrel of Beez is his second worst, followed by Ball of Flames.
I only say those two are bad because they weren't up-to-par with the amazing debut that was Creekwater. I felt like dummed-down his music and artistic style after that album, but then picked it back up with Stereo.

Cause feelings scar, but egos bruise worse

From a quality standpoint, Heart of Dixie is the worst for me, but that's understandable given how it was recorded. Content wise, either PIABOB or Radioactive, but I didn't hate either one.

I found a CDQ version of the Heart of Dixie, and I've been listening to it for the past couple days, and i have to say... not bad.. I guess it was the shitty quality that fucked the tape up big time for me.

I now think the worst is definitely Ball of Flamesor PIABOB... he sounded so amateurish on those tapes despite having an amazing debut album like Creekwater.

Live Mixtapes had the CDQ version all along... :facepalm

All the songs are in 320kbps, and when played against the crappy quality version you can really tell the difference.
